Hey jammers! Today's new item is a summery carnival item sold at the furniture booth in the Summer Carnival: the Pet Rollercoaster!

Pretty neat little design. Also, here is a neat little sneak peak of Tunnel Town, sent in by AJpaleggs. It's a buyable rare bug!
 Neat little Animal Jam aspect, don't you think? And here's something random, more has been discovered on the number 88 (from the Sports Jersey a few days back). It's a lucky number, probably the luckiest number, in Chinese culture (wealth, prosperity). Anyone remember the Bejing Olympics starting at 8pm on 8/8/08?
This connection was thought of by Hayluc!
 And look, that's the Lucky 88 Butterfly! It wasn't just a random number, nice job AJHQ! Here's also a post by them, about beta.
I've tried to cover this before, but it's good to say again. We can't bring back beta, it was a testing period. >.< Jamaa must change with time, but change can be good. There's so much in store for Animal Jam, I can't wait to see what new adventures are to come.

    Hmm , idk to a point beta can come back , I know the meaning of the word " beta " , but beta items can come back in different colors or patterns ;)

      Yup. ibp911 is right. So... why is it called Beta Testing, that is pretty much called "two testing". If anything, shouldn't it be Alpha testing because that is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, so it should be that because that would pretty much mean testing for the first time...

Oh, and I really want that butterfly as a screensaver on my iPad mini and wow i would never of thought of the Beijing olympics....pretty cool though, maybe that was what AJ was going for???

      That would be awesome Anon. It could only be for summer and it could have a roller-coaster that drives you around the den. But It's not really Jamaasian, more human. So I don't know if it would be good to buy it.

    Did anyone notice that the rare label on the bug looks just like the rare symbol on rare items on Animal Jam?
    That is so cool that the butterfly has 88 on it's wing! It reminds me of a poster called "Butterfly Alphabet" at my school with all the letters of the alphabet on butterflies' wings!

I know that AJ cant bring back beta days, But they CAN bring back the items *they actually have been doing that*, But not many Favorites that would cause a big thing in history if they came back, Like gloves. Or camis frog, But They may never come back.. or they may come back, you never know.. o-o

      They should have an update where they bring back Cami's Frog and tell the story on the blog. People actually know what a Cami's Frog is worth, but I bet none of them know the real story. This is an important point in Jamaa History.

    @severus aj, Beta testing is a period of testing in which all games must go through before release. This period of beta testing allows testers to search for and remove harmful glitches and bugs and any other issues with the game. The items that were sold during beta times have now become extremely rare and hard to get.

    Oh Snowy, It might not be that, but my neighbor is Chinese and I remember her once telling me and Reaper that the Chinese pronunciation of the number eight, sounded almost like the pronunciation for luck, or fortune. Another couple she said were four, whose pronunciation sounds like die or death, and three, whose pronunciation she said sounded like live, or birth.
    IF you are Chinese (and Reaper is half) and you don't think so, that's great, but Reaper and my neighbor agree. 88 would probs be a really lucky numb er, because one eight is fortune, so imagine two eights.

    I pretty much got scammed today. I got scammed for my stone chair, and it is terrible. I got a rip off trade for it, and the person wants an OBSCENE amount of betas for it to come backt o me. It isn't fair. My question to anyone: Does anyone have a spare stone chair, or a rare stone chair from the leap year party?
