Hey jammers! Today brings another small update, but that just means AJHQ has some jamtastic future things in store! Over in Sunken Treasures furniture shop we have the returning Starfish.
You can buy your very own statue in the Mystery Emporium in the Chamber of Knowledge. The new alpha's name is Sigurd. It's possible he's named after Sigurd, famous hero of Norse and Germanic mythology, or after Sigurd Olson, a famous environmentalist and nature writer!
AJHQ as cut prices on all dens for a limited time!
Be sure to get the dens you like if you're in the market for 'em. Also, fun additions to the World Map are new icons!
And finally, AJHQ seems to be confirming the next animal will be an eagle. A large, black and white bird which glides through the air? Sounds about right, don't you think? No so ostrich-y...

And I have exciting news, AJHQ has announced the deer alpha!
Which do you think he is named after? La Salle, the raccoon alpha, was named after a French explorer (curious!), and Amelia, the fox alpha, was named after Amelia Earhart (it was her birthday!).

Wow it's a pretty good update! Some of the dens are really expensive so it's nice that they are on sale. It's about time for a deer alpha :3 Also, I think having a bird as an animal will be interesting. I wonder what it will look like?

1) Love the new Deer Alpha-I think it's named after Sigurd Olson!
2) I'm most excited about the den price cut! Now I have the chance to purchase a lot more dens at a great price! C:
3) I think the new icons are very helpful. It makes it a lot easier to simply click on one of the Adventures and get right into it instead of going to the Base Camp and having to find it.
4) I agree, Snowy! I think it's definitely an eagle! I'm really excited!!!!!! I've wanted a flying animal for as long as I can remember! :D

It will be an eagle (see other comments.) Yeah, it's annoying when you buy something right before it goes on clearance. This also happened to a friend, she got a snow leopard in the diamond shop just before kangaroos came out, and she had 0 diamonds left over, and she liked the kangaroos better than the leopards...

DeleteThe update really hasn't affected me too much.. all my den slots are full so I can't take advantage of the denstravaganza... I don't really like the new adventure update, it seems less... I don't know how to explain it, but thoughtful... it makes it seem like they're not adventures but just things you click on to get done... hmm..
DeleteBut anyway... I never look at epic dens anymore, half of them are locked and a bunch of them are just empty...
I've had a pet owl since last year and I won't get to see the eagles until the next update...

Actually, I complain a lot in real life and in AJ XD The den prices didn't matter to me, I have lots of gems :3 And the base camp looks terrible. I personally hate the new base camp, because it's like what you said. Not a real adventure.

I have been to the new base camp and it is awful. No more actually seeing the tower, or the volcano, or the hive. You just go in and pick which one you want. I used to LOVE walking around the base camp and looking at the adventures, but now it's gone. Boo hoo.
And they HAVE changed the adventures around a little, or at least Return of the Phantoms. Basically though most everything is where it was, just a little change with the Phantom Door.

Copy down the URL of the pic if you're finding it from someplace like Google Images. (Just right-click the picture you want then click copy URL) on Blogger, when you edit your profile, for the picture uncheck From your computer and check the other option (I forgot what it was :P) then paste the URL. It should work. :)

I bought the Cosmo's den a few days after it first came out, no biggie. My den now is the Cosmo den XD it's unlocked too (trying to be epic) Anyway, I can't wait for the next update. The den sale is for two weeks, clue?

DeleteWith AJ you can actually change the colors so you can change it around to make it look like a crow. But eagles have a few different features and might not even walk on AJ...

If the eagles are nonmember, that would be awesome, and we would know AJHQ isn't forgetting about their nonmembers! I can't wait for all the Friendship items to come back, and I'm excited about the Friendship Party :D I agree, the base camp looks really boring now, but it's convenient that you don't have to run around (for the lazy people :P)

DeleteIf you read the first letter of the paragraph on the feather page, it spells out "EAGLES". I like the fact that the arctic wolf passage was moved. It was really a burden completing an adventure when everybody keeps leaving just because of the passage. Now they'll be forced to work hahaha.

I personally liked walking around to go to my adventures! Ugh >:( they should have made the icons, but kept the adventure base camp in its original state. On the other hand, I love Sigurd. :D
ReplyDeleteMe too... I liked the little area around it. I remember when they were in a maze-like area, and the Meet Cosmo adventure had a little garden next to it and a hammock... but now it feels like they're trying to "efficientize" everything... it's less likable like that...

I get that sometimes. I just refresh the page and it works again... It's actually a pretty old glitch, I even got that back in 2011.
DeleteTry turning down the brightness on your computer screen. Mine is always turned down to the lowest brightness. It keeps the battery alive longer too.
