Animal Jam goes to Salt Lake City Comic Con

Hey jammers! Here's a fun little event that's going on right now: Animal Jam is out at the Salt Lake City Comic Con!
It's the FanXperience, Kid Con section technically, but it's a comic con! Do you live in the Salt Lake City area? Today is the last day to stop by and visit the Animal Jam booth, and they even have animals!

Daww, look at them all! It seems like a super fun setting, I wished I lived nearby. If you'd like to purchase last minute tickets, click here. Distinguished guests include this lovely lizard...
As well as the resident CEO and President of Smart Bomb Interactive (the company that runs Animal Jam)! From articles I've read he seems like a very smart guy, so I'm sure he and his team have a interesting presentation in store for the visitors.
Although I mentioned this a while back, I always find myself bouncing back to this article about the making of Animal Jam.
Remember the Jamaasian Movement? We of Animal Jam Spirit, as a group, requested for the return of shamans (now alphas) and the older Jamaa goals like quests (now adventures) to return to the game. It always makes me happy to see the fantastic response AJHQ has for us! As companies go, Animal Jam is a pretty good one.
Click here to read the whole article!

So what do you think of newsy type posts like this?
Are they fun to read?

    5. My cousin lives in Utah, where the Comicon is! Well, he's 24, and I wouldn't even be allowed in Comicon until I am 13. Or was it 12? Eh, well, I still wish I could go. When I saw the fox, I freaked, I love foxes, and I have always wanted a pet fox, or even to pet one.
Well, I do like the article on Smart Bomb, and I didn't know the CEO (Stacey) worked on one of Mojang's games! (Mojang is the company that developed Minecraft, but Stacey did not work on Minecraft) So fascinating.

    7. I just searched Salt Lake City up and found it was located in Utah, which is in the U.S... I unfortunately don't live in the United States since I'm all the way in the Philippines, although I'm hoping I can visit US some time :).

    3. His username is clark, and I knew someone would call me a liar, so go to this link, look at the picture with the elephant, and look at the elephant under the player's animals.

    6. Ronen, I'm buddies with him too! He's really nice! I found out because I saw a video by AJHQ, and it was him. Then I figured out that a guy named Clark was the CEO, and that's his username!

    7. That's cool how an AJHQ account is interacting with ordinary Jammers. :)

  9. Animal Jam & AJHQ are in a Comic Con!? Whoa! ^o^ The booth; and people and of course the animals are pretty cool. Interesting article, too.
@ Anonymous: That's pretty pawsome that you went to this thing today- I couldn't 'cause I had no idea at all, and I live nowhere near Salt Lake City! I think it was there because AJHQ is in Utah, right? Not that sure. :)
@ Ronen: Wait... you're buddies with the CEO of Animal Jam!? So is it like being buddies with AJHQ? Is that even allowed? :O

    2. And it's not much different from being friends with a regular player. He rarely logs on, maybe because he's a busy guy. He replied to a lot of my Jam-a-Grams and even sent me a gift.

    3. What was the gift? lol sorry to be nosy but I'm just a huge fan of him!!

    4. It was a fire pot, and don't worry about being nosy, I am too!

    5. Wow that's so cool, Ronen! I read the article you linked above about the username "clark" and that he works for AJHQ- or something like that. I then searched "clark" on AJ and he's like an ordinary Jammer with unique (my opinion) outfits on! >:3 I thought the player profile (whatever its called screen) would have an "AJHQ" badge on it. And cool firepot!XD

    6. Wow Ronen that's amazing o3o

    1. Lol ikr! I was so surprised when I first read this article! To me, AJ is more like an animated online game than a Comic, y'know.? Just doesn't fit together, in my opinion. But I do know that Comic Cons also feature animes because my irl friend visits Comic Cons every year for her obsessed animes. >:) I also think this might be AJ's 1st Comic Con featured!

    1. Also, guys, he's trying to scare us. Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ignore him and he'll probably stop with the stupid comments.

    2. Yeah, I think for comments that don't follow the blog's rules, they should automatically not allow that comment to publish. Because I think with comment moderation on, it takes commenters a longer time to publish their comment. :T

I agree, that inappropriate dude is just trying to scare us- or is just a troll of some sort. I bet he doesn't even play AJ, read the blog, etc.! He just goes on popular AJ sites (blogs, YouTubes, etc.) as a hater. And I don't think he's a 70 or 80 year old man. Probably a 20-30 year old who has no life- just ruins children's games for his entertainment. >.< Snowy, don't let this guy get to you; don't shut down this great blog!

    3. Yeah. He's just wasting his time. Meh, o well not our problem. :3 Let 'im waste his time trying to scare us. o3o

  26. I get what you're saying. I also think its fun having a little competition of 1st, 2nd, 3rd comment- especially on this blog because its kinda hard to with so many comments per post! But when peeps are like "parties with 1st commenter, throws confetti and pie in 1st commenter's face >:3, brings puppy/kitty to 1st commenter"- ok I'm done with this weird thing o3o. It feels like they're only congratulating and having fun with the 1st few commenters, and not with all the commenters. So that may hurt later commenter's feelings. I'm not against it- I congratulate the first few commenters, too ^^ :3. Ok, this is now getting kinda hard to explain... lol.

  29. You Know What I FEEL LIKE SAYING A LOT OF WORDS 2 YOU But You're Lucky That Words Wont Do Anything! Thats Why For The People That Know This Isn't True Can Just Completely Ignore The Comment And Go On With Our lives OK? The People That Are ACTUALLY BELIEVING All This And People That Write This Stuff Just Need Serious Help 0-0 May God PLZ Help Us All! People Are Just Getting Crazier At The Moment So Then Lets Just IGNORE That INAPPROPRIATE Comment And Not Make A Big Deal Abut It Because It's Just A Comment That Later On Nobody Would Care About.

    1. I agree completely! Thanks to fman122, nonmembers can't send gifts! Here's something you may not know, though: Ever noticed that when you join AJ now, your user is "New Jammer" for the first few days? Well, that's because AJHQ digs up every last detail about that username you actually type in. Wanna know why they do that? They have to make sure that your not fman122 making a new account.

I kinda agree with you about the comments. It's really nice for the people who get first, second or third comment but it will bother the next few people who visit the blog because they didn't get it. And it also spams up really badly the first few comments. But I don't think people will stop cause it's fun :)
