Hey jammers! It's a little bit earlier than yesterday, yes? ^.^ Mighty annoying test today, what fun, what fun. I think Animal Jam sounds like a splendid idea, don't you think? Today's new item is the Nesting Greely Doll, likely in celebration of the new hard level!
As promised I have some new features from this update. First up, Gloves have achieved a new rarer status in item land!
Thanks for sending in this picture Emma! What could this mean? Are they coming back for Rare Item Monday? Is AJHQ adding these plaques to all popular rare items? The world may never know...
That's my sister's username there, so if someone else claims to be her you can call 'em on it. There are also new designs for the buddy request letters sent when you are away from Jamaa (AFJ), looky!
Thanks for submitting this xMimiCupcake! I love this style AJHQ is developing, it really stands out in the gaming world. Although I'm curious how that panda will fit through the smoothie hut's door...

DeleteI am, also. But it was probably also done to prevent several ways of scamming. Though this is all very frustrating, cause it was fun to send things from a storage to my main account. Now I have to trade everything! Sometimes AJHQ brings it too far. I know, they do it so that they'll get people to buy more memberships, but if they go on like this, pretty soon there will be ONLY members, cause no nonmembers will want to play! D:

DeleteUgh, this is annoying. AJHQ, this isn't the right way to go. Getting rid of people's abilities isn't right. You are just bad at moderation, AJHQ. Very bad at it. I dunno if you're lazy or underpayed, but it seems you get enough monies from your memberships. It seems like you're avoiding good moderation all together. That's really all you need. Maybe you need a better way to categorize trades? Maybe. Maybe you guys could be like chicken smoothie, there is waaay less scamming there. They have better moderation than you, AJHQ, because no one will think about scamming when they know they cannot get away with it.

DeleteWhen AJHQ takes away one thing, they usually give a different thing. Like this time, they give nms a chance to wear the epic new phantom armor that looks like something you might find in the diamond shop. I am sure moderating is not as easy as you think. They probably took away nm gifting to protect jammers from being scammed as newbies.
Well, now that there's a way to lock it from the parent account, I'm sure that was quite unnecessary ^^;

ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm not sure if I want the gloves to be Monday Rare or not. They look so cool, and even though I like the cream one, the other ones are pretty cool colors too. But gloves are kinda special because not everyone has them, which makes it seem exciting to see someone who has one, like how freedom wings used to be. And scamming would increase, because scammers could get good items for the gloves because not everyone would know they were RIMs. I really don't know, I'm so confused!! XD

ReplyDeleteHey you guys, I went to extend my membership the other day with a gift card, and I logged into my own parental dashboard (cuz I'm older I can do that lol) and I noticed something interesting. There is now an option to lock the child's ability to send gifts or to lock trades!! :o The options are right underneath where you can turn on free chat.
ReplyDeleteI guess so parents can stop their kids from being scammed if it keeps happening....
That's interesting! And I guess it could be helpful, if a young child was playing and was getting scammed frequently.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess they did that to make sure people don't just create random nm accounts just to be inappropriate on. Like for example, a new nonmember with no things has nothing to lose if they are banned, they don't care. They can always make another. A member who is rich and rare will behave themselves because they won't want to lose all that progress and level ups and friends and animals and gems if they are banned.
