Hey jammers! So many new things to be seeing today. To start we have the daily new item, the Vine Rug, for sale in the Jam Mart Furniture shop – it comes in a complete ten flower color pack!!!
Oh my goodness, I do love that sprinkler move they're pulling off there. I was totally ROFL, and like LOL, and stuff... Yeah, I like this goofy little guys. As always AJHQ has designed them quite well.
I love all these fantastic pictures, but I will miss the cartoon classic that have disappeared. What do you think of the new update jammers? Are you displeased with the hyena diamond location? Excited to see the return of the Summer Carnival? Happy jamming!!!
And with this update comes Animal Jam's newest animal, the Hyena, which is being sold for 10 diamonds in the Jamaa Township Diamond Shop. Sadly it's a diamonds + members only item.

At first when I watched Snow's video I thought that nonmembers were finally getting a chance to change colors, but nnooooo I bought it, thinking I would get a purple awesome phantomy one but when I put it in my den it was ORANGE!?!?!?! DeleteI don't think there's a glitch. People get confused about this all the time. I remember I had a friend who was really disappointed over buying a kanga after seeing that you could buy one with 1000 gems AFTER buying it. The animal only pops up AFTER you pay the diamonds, so it's fair:
The hyena (or other diamond animal) pops up in your animal-making inventory after you buy it initially with 10 diamonds, so you don't have to pay another 10 diamonds if yours accidentally gets deleted or you simply want another one.
Wait.. so what I'm hearing from, there was a time in the morning where AJ forgot to put the hyenas up for diamonds?XD

The nice dood is all like "LET'S MAKE THEM WORTH GEMS IT'S WHAT THE PLAYERS WANT"
Then a bunch of other low-ranking nice peeps are all like "YEAH!!! 8D"
So they put it into the game..
...
Then the evil big bad boss guy takes his daily walk through Jamaa and sees the hyenas, being more plentiful than usual. He wonders why the jammers would have so many diamonds. He runs frantically into the diamond shop, heart pounding... He checks the automatic registers for glitches. Nothing. Then the wolf statue in the middle of the shop catches his eye. He walks angrily towards it, placing a pixellated paw on the automatic voice buying system thingy. "Welcome to the diamond shop!" a voice echoed. "You may choose from these animals..."
The voice began listing the animals. The boss listened intently for hyena. But the voice ended with "...that's all! Have a nice day and be sure to buy, buy, BUY~" in a cheerful tone. There was no mention of "hyenas."
The boss logged out of the game, stomping angrily into the development room, yelling at the programmers to put the hyena into the diamond shop...

ReplyDeleteNo I'm not going to scream what place I got in the comments (No offence). Somehow, when I got on at 5:14, Hyenas were available for Gems. I think it was a tiny mistake and AJHQ accidently put it for Gems. There's likely going to be a part when we have to go offline for a while so AJHQ can fix that. Also, I love the Summer Carnival so much! I think it's a special tradition so celebrate the capture of Phantoms :)

(Even though I can't get the Hyena just yet) I plan on getting the Hyena on Monday X3 I have been to last years Summer Carnival so there's nothing new there for me. I do love the games there though! I also am not too happy with the Den Portal thing. Why do members pay gems for the Den Portals and Non Members have to pay diamonds for the Den Portals..They can't even pick the color they want O-O; Another thing I do like about this update is the upcoming Spirit Armor. I have always wanted a Spirit Tail for my Spirit Armor set. Maybe it could even be a different color of Spirit Armor? I dunno I'm honestly pretty ok about this update :3 Anyway jammers Jam on!!

DeleteReason AJ hasn't made many NM animals is because NM's only trial animal jam. Members get more because members pay money to get these special exclusives..When your playing for free and not giving anything to workers, they give less. So I understand AJ. I remember being NM and never getting much but once I got my membership I never stopped getting it. Being a member gives you a lot more then being a non member. Mind you though, Being a NM in AJ is a lot better then being a NM on Club Penguin. So personally I am happy for this update. NM's have to understand playing for free doesn't mean they can get everything. DX No offense.

You didn't tell us anything we didn't know. Sometimes people can't afford memberships. Honesty non members still don't get that much. I don't even remember when the last non member animal was. I'm sure the only people who say those kind of things are people who are members. (I'm a member)

DeleteI'm not sure if it's true.. But I think theres some kind of glitch today where you can buy the hyena for 1000 gems in the switch animals thingy. I don't know if it's just a rumor, because I'm a nonmember at the moment, but I'd definitely like someone to try it and see if it works.. I hope it does, but, then again, it could be just a rumor, and nothing else.

DeleteThis is a good and bad update at the same time. Almost all of the newest stuff are for diamonds! Like the portal for all Jammers and the hyenas and the armour that's coming soon. The only new thing that's not about the Diamond Shop is the Summer Carnival. What's the next time something from the Diamond Shop will come (not including the armour coming soon)? I would guess in another month because AJHQ needs to stop letting kids waste their diamonds when they beg for diamonds a month later. Cruel, AJHQ, so cruel.

I don't really like hyenas, they look like henchmen. (My opinion) it takes me a while to adapt to new animals though. :p So, I also am pretty upset it's diamonds, and the portal too. And it's also sad that the teleport thingy is gone! (to the summer carnival)

ReplyDeleteYou guys shouldn't complain that the hyenas can only be bought using diamonds. AJ needs the money to keep the game running. If they didn't have enough money they would have to shut down Animal Jam. I know sometimes it can be annoying that a lot of the animals are in the diamond shop but they have so many gem animals and they made the deer a gem animal. We should be thankful for what Animal Jam is doing for us and of course making a fun online game.

DeleteAnimal jam has plenty of money, it's run by national geographic. Do you have any idea how much they make on their magazines? MILLIONS. Their probably making millions as I type this comment. They are a huge company and a million dollars doesn't go by very fast when your working on a child's game. Trust me they have PLENTY of money to keep AJ going for a very very long time. But I do agree that members do need special love since they are paying for their privileges. NM are playing for free so it's just logical that they don't get as much as members do.
DeleteI think just about everybody is disappointed about hyenas being in the diamond shop. I even saw protesters in there earlier! I understand why an animal like an eagle would be in there, but the blasted shop is getting old.

DeleteI used to be indifferent towards it, but now I'll never buy from it. It's gone too far, in my opinion. A lot of us dislike it because betas returned, or the gift card animals are now buyable there. I personally dislike it because they put nonmember diamond items there, when it's hard to get the, without actually buying them or winning them from the daily spin, which is probably extremely rare. I also dislike it because of hyenas ending up there. I would've been happy if it was at least member and gems, because i'd buy it that way whenever i can get membership. I even went to the diamond shop and a few members and another nonmember thought the hyena being a diamond animal was unfair.
DeleteAnyways, what I'm saying is that the shop is bothersome for all who don't enjoy it. AJHQ should've listened to some users who asked them to make hyenas gem animals or nonmember on their facebook page. At least it'd be fair for everyone if we could all have hyenas...Dumb diamond shop. >n>
Thank goodness I saved up my 12 diamonds. I had a feeling the hyenas would be in the diamond shop. I'm a little disappointed that the carnival has the same items from last year.

AJHQ are bullying us :( Why? Why? I feels like, as I'm a non-member I'm nothing in Jamaa and I'm forced to leave. :( The den portal they made for all it's rubbish, they made it like that to make none members feel sad

It's not like that. Sure, they started being greedy, but they do need some of the money. Some of it goes to help endangered animals! Most of it is used to update AJ itself. Seriously, it costs money to update it and run it. ;o; At least they actually MADE a nonmember den portal.

ReplyDeleteAJHQ should put the eagles , hyenas or Cheetahs "GEM" bought animals this thanksgiving, Mostly a Few jammers have quitted because of this Complaint,While AJHQ are not noticing their quitting.. and For non members.. they still have to BUY membership and wait for the 10th week to get a hyena... Animal jam is getting so unfair... Especially for non members...Also the Forgotten Desert.. for Eagles only..and almost all items in Animal jam are for members of the animal jam Club... and this Christmas Season (December 2014) Hopefully Animal jam HQ Would put in one of the daily gifts a "Free 6 month membership" for Christmas Giving non member Chances to buy Diamond shop items and earning diamonds, Playing member adventures (Including The forgotten desert) and most of all Having fun with their membership. This is my opinion...

ReplyDelete1. Hyenas are members only and in the diamond shop. I was really hoping that AJHQ by now would realize to stop putting every, single new animal member- but not only that, putting every, single new animal in the Diamond Shop. Now I know that AJHQ only wants money from Jammers' memberships- and doesn't care about the game anymore. I could make a very long list proving that what HQ did for the past few months. Like the eagle adventure: jammers need membership, buy gift card to get enough diamonds to buy one -> more membership. Only people who have eagles can get the rares/betas from the adventure. Moving on now....
2. The Jam-a-Grams. Now most of them now are un-cartoony, as mentioned above. I love the cartoony ones! Why AJ, why!? D': Honestly, I think the cartoony/old JAGS had better words on them than these new ones. The drawings were so good! AND AJ a few weeks ago, just added those awesome JAGs- now they're suddenly gone!? Not cool AJ, not cool. -.-
3. Best Dressed (that arcade game :3) I wanted to play Best Dressed, since I didn't play it for a while- surprise, surprise. *Best Dressed is a game I luv playing on AJ o3o* So I play (this happened several times btw) and finally as I go to the theme, it takes forever to load; I finally have the option to 'dress my best' at '4 seconds remaining'. So I don't have any time to put items on for that particular round, but every other Jammer in the game round has items on. All but me. I hate being that person in Best Dressed so much. Then as I wait for AJ to stop being annoying for the 2nd round, there's endless loading. Then I refresh webpage and try again. Same exact thing happened. Just, UGH!! DX
The only thing I like about today is I like today's new item. c: And the summer Carnival is back- even though it's not officially summer where I live, oh well. :P
