ReplyDeleteYou know a lot of Jammers say the hardest plaque to earn is the coveted video plaque, but I think it's the contest plaque. For one, AJHQ doesn't host many contests, and when they do, there's no criteria included, so they could judge your entry on a lot of things. Then, the winner is announced and they get their plaque. Brady Barr and Tierney Thys answer questions and the videos are uploaded every other day, so we technically have a higher chance of getting that coveted video plaque.

Ok so the history of botany (the study of plants) has been around since like man itself, because plants have been here on Earth longer than we have! :O Botanists study all plants, and its very cool and I want to be one just like you, and understand plants on a deep level. Like you, Cosmo!
The definition of a plant is: ” A living organism lacking the power of voluntary motion and generally without feeling” but there is some evidence that plants can move on their own! The most obvious reason being of course that they have to move to turn towards the sun, but there are lots more! I’m sorry but I can’t list them all! For fear of this thing growing wayyyy to long, lol. But here’s just one more fact about voluntary motion of plants! The climbing motion of some plants might be classified as voluntary movement!
Here are the parts of the plant: leaves, flowers, stems, roots and seeds! The definition of leaves is: “a flattened structure of a higher plant, typically green and bladelike, that is attached to a stem directly or via a stalk. Leaves are the main organs of photosynthesis and transpiration” Leaves are very fantastical, if I do say so myself (which I do :O”. The definition of flowers is: “the seed-bearing part of a plant, consisting of reproductive organs (stamens and carpels) that are typically surrounded by a brightly colored corolla (petals) and a green calyx” I could go on, stating the definitions of each part of the plant, but I’m sure you know about all of them Cosmo!
Plants can be used as many things, including medicine! Technically, without plants, NO LIFE WOULD EXIST!!! Plants provide oxygen for us humans (and koalas in your case :)) Everything we eat comes directly or indirectly from plants!!! And plants also regulate the water cycle :O
They also are the backbone of most animal’s habitats! Excluding Tavie’s underwater environment of course Here is just ONE more fact about plants! They store carbon and they help keep much of the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere!!!
As you can see jammers, plants are VERY AMAZING things! And I hope most of the people (and Alphas) reading this decide to become a botanist when they grow up!
