Spirit Artwork #12

You are tramping through the township of Jamaa, a jumble of loud voices and howls, indiscernible from one another. Animals seem to appear from nowhere, and you awkwardly stagger to the side to let a tough-looking Arctic Wolf through, and nearly trip over a poor seal minding her own business! Eventually you are able to make it to the bridge. After a great deal of panting, you look up to see the wary face of an old penguin, with a large, crooked beak and beady black eyes. When he raises an eyebrow at you, the many wrinkles on his forehead betray his age. He does not say a word, but hands you a book, and disappears into the crowd.

A beautiful work by AkiraTheFurry/Lemon-Dog. The background is simply astounding here! The offset angle gives a sense of movement to the whole piece. The many colors of the background are soft and well-chosen, and the texture of the water is on-point! And the footprints in the sand are a cool little detail to include.

Two lovely pieces sent in by Beagleboy6308. The first is a traditional work that features a wolf in a top hat. The shading is soft, giving a nice contrast to the harsh black lines. The second is unfinished for now, but you can see the workings of a mech angel helmet - light blue, my favorite colour! The shape of the horse's head is very realistic and the soft colors flow very well overall.

Woot! A Night of the Phantoms piece sent in by Yappi The Lion, featuring some silly friends dressed up for the event! The characters are too cute - I'm loving that pikachu jacket! Very interesting lighting too. The moon seems to be giving off a mysterious glow... I wonder what that's all about.

What's this? Blingbling Jamaa's newest piece suggests that the phantom and the wolf can be friends? The arctic wolf has a friendly grin on that long muzzle of his, but the phantom only seems to want to disappear into the darkness. An elusive encounter is captured in this work.

A friendly reminder from FusionTheEevee. Be a Jammer, not a scammer, is written in conspicuously colored, neon font, all brought together by a bright blue sky with a sun and some clouds, a peaceful background that helps get the message across.

Three cool new artworks by Dogzxx! We have a wolf, similar to the one from the Sketch Jam, but personalized with a twist of color and a lovely fang necklace to boot. Then we have some pets who are eager to catch their butterflies - a joey and a bunny! Looks like the bunny is winning so far with that. She also has a cute hat. The minimal style of the pets on AJ is well portrayed here.
