Spirit Artwork #13

You are frolicking about the tall, red slabs of stone that jut towards the sky in protest of their earthly bounds. A nice, warm thermal on which you glide effortlessly carries you to Royal Ridge. The pungent scent of straw and old, familiar wood greet you as you enter the shop. You land, folding your wings neatly and shifting your feet to get a better grip on your perch. You decide to take to the shelves, examining the plethora of merchandise. Your feather tips brush over stained glass windows and lamps so beautifully crafted, they seem to come from a different time. You eventually come across an exquisite box, covered with the most divine, iridescent shards of glass. As you turn the box over thoughtfully in your talons, you find an ornate silver clasp, which, after a bit of prying, opens with a small click. Inside are only a few pieces of yellowed paper... 

"Wolf at Dawn" by roorookanga. I certainly adore the light colors and sketchy style that was used here, it definitely captures the fickleness of the sky.

An adorable piece by Pop Rocks! Lots of detail when it comes to the items, and the slight lighting really helps the wolf stand out from the background! The orange eyes are also a great contrast from the purple and black, and very halloween-y!

Lovely artwork sent in by FeenixWolf! The lines look super intricate and meticulously done, and the colors are very neat and tidy as well. The texture used for the background is also really interesting, but soft, and does not distract from the main character, but instead helps to amplify them even more.

A cute arctic wolf sent in by Sapstar / Luckyclover8989! Love the accuracy of the items, and how you tied in the blue on the tail armor with the blue in the background -- good color choices!

Phantastic Night of the Phantoms artwork by Kitkat8529! Adorable lineless style, the arctic wolf looks great! The dark background was a great choice, it emboldens the darkness and menacing-ness of the phantoms encroaching upon the wolf...

An adorable piece sent in my iggymon12! Awesome use of the spray paint and blending tools to shade the animal! It came out really well, especially for being drawn in AJ's dinky little art program.

A whimsical rendering of Greely by warriorcat55361! His grumpy look, and the wilted flower suggest he has some relation to the phantom above him... Perhaps he really does have some little plan with the phantoms, this portrait ponders.

A beautiful wolf portrait by pam1264! I love the lighting on the mountains in the background; they reflect the harsh light of the moon very well. And the stars on the wolf tie in with the night theme! Well done!
