Spirit Sentiment #10 - Items, Items, and More Items

Hey there Jammers!

Trading is the most common activity that occurs in Jamaa on a daily basis. You can try getting that "special" item that you want. Plus, it's addicting. We always get that thrill of having a new item or new items, wearing them, and seeing what we can get for those new items. 

However, this has become the most popular activity in Jamaa. It's ALL anyone ever talks about.

 I'll be covering some items and such in this sentiment.

Part I: The Act of Trading

I went to the full server, Aldan, where the largest group of Jammers go to trade. You'll find Jammers with every kind of item in all the lands of Aldan. I went to Brady Barr's lab and the Lost Temple of Zios.

It's always very crowded here, for some unknown reason. Eagles will usually flock here to play The Forgotten Desert or to trade. Here, you'll find many "gifters", or people that'll say "Spike for spike". The "spike for spike" ones are scams, but any gift for a gift is not a scam unless the person says they will give "the same amount" back and never do.

It just gets to be too much.

In the LTOZ, I saw a couple of Jammers that offered what they assumed was a fair amount of rares for one item. It sure seemed like an overtrade.

Is it just me, or is a long collar and more just way too much for this measly tail that you can't get? 

Doesn't that seem like she's trading a whole lot just for another headdress? I guess many of you will say "That's because it has black" or "it's a rarer color". 

Let me tell you something. Color does not matter.

This Jammer wanted to trade her short black spiked collar for a purple one and have the person add something. I tried a few times, and she kept telling me to add and change. She finally came to my den and asked me to trade the collar and a short spiked wrist just for that collar.

I told her that I was trading too much, and she said "No it's not, because black is rarer. Look it up." I didn't look it up, but asked her how it was rarer. Her only response was "Just cuz it is." She then resumed to tell my buddy to be quiet because my buddy wanted to make a point, so I locked my den. 

Her response.

Anyway, the conclusion of Part I is that items can cause a change of emotions and rudeness from others. Don't listen to them.

Part II: Items

Unfortunately, I'm not going to tell you what is worth what because of possible arguments and my lack of knowledge of it, but I'll show you the most popular items in Jamaa.

The glitched items are the miscolored items that leave the stores. Jammers are asking for these items everywhere.

I've recently been hearing Jammers talk about how "the value of Founders' Hats have gone down". How in the world does that happen??!?!

Is it a possibility for Founders' Hats to be a treasure in the Forgotten Desert? Or is that just another rumor?
Either way, the true value of them will not go down. They were specially given to the beta testers of Jamaa in 2010 as a thanks for helping make Jamaa the best place for kids!

This just shows that now, all Jamaa is becoming is the trading game. When a Jammer sees another Jammer wearing a Founders' Hat, they don't think "Oh wow, that's a possible sign of a beta tester!". They actually think "Oh wow, that is a super rare item! I need it!". All they see when looking at an item is that it is highly valued in terms of more items, and nothing more.

Also, I would like to ask the question to all of you: why in the world are long black spiked collars one of the rarest items in Jamaa? WHY?!?!

All they are are a different colored version of any other spiked collar. Was this just one Jammer's favorite color, and then more people thought "Oh, I like this color, let's make it the most SPECIAL just because the color is nice."

I don't understand.
