Ciao, everyone! Bon here, with some happy news for y'all! I've recently netted a new addition to the aquarium! Say hello to this lovely Dragonscale Betta!

I've thought and thought, yet I can't think of a clever enough name for this little fellow!
And that's when Genius Bon struck.
Awesome, right?
This little fishie is a silvery-brown Dragonscale Betta with crazy long fins. He's a..well, he. He likes to have staring contests. I have yet to win one.
Did you know that Bettas are called "Siamese Fighting Fish" due to their aggressive tendencies? This unnamed guy has a whole tank to himself, because he'd wrestle with my other fish! Betta fish are smart, for fishes. They can be taught to swim through hoops, and ring bells for food! Crazy stuff, right?!

maybe since he's a dragonscale, you could name him after a dragon? for instance, ryuu, neak, or balaur. or maybe a star in the draco constellation? eltanin, edasich, or thuban?

When I opened the blog I saw the fish and I'm like OMG IT'S A BETTA FISH!!!!! I had one before, they are really cute but aggressive if you put 2 together. Sometimes they see their own reflection in the glass and flare up their fins! LOL. Maybe you could name him Murray, it means Lord of the Sea in a language I don't remember xD

ReplyDeleteWe have 2 fish named Comet along with a few more, however lots get eaten by seagulls or maybe nabbed by our cat Mobo so probably we are gonna lose them soon :( Lots of our fish I can't remember their names but some were Goldie (before they got pinched) and basically there were 4 fish when we arrived at the house so I named them #1 #2 #3 and #4
I like Drake because it reminds me of ducks, which remind me of water and fish,

DX anyway my fish would follow any toy I put where he could see it. He then would go to it, and touch his nose against the glass. Then he got a fungus. I have a few ideas for ur fish's name though. Bonsaii junior, Moon, dragon, mist, Blue Fire, Punky, (come on just look at his dorsal fin, the ultimate Mohawk) aquafire, Or idk.

ReplyDeleteIf you think you suck at naming fish, you don't. My two goldfish are named Ike and Phineas, and we can't even tell them apart anymore because they both turned gray. We used to have Spike and Ferb, but they both died on the same day. But we couldn't find Ferb, so we think Spike ate Ferb and then died. After all, Ferb was actually a tetra fish, not a goldfish.
