Hey jammers! Snowyclaw here with today's (and yesterday's) post. AJHQ caught me by surprise with this crazy little update. Sorry to bring you this update so late, I intern at a wildlife shelter all day, remember. ^-^ First off we have some lovely little surprise pets!

To purchase these crazy cute little things you'll have to make a stop at the (very crowded) Diamond Shop in the Township.
I gotta say, these guys are pretty adorable. Makes me want a warthog as an animal in Jamaa. Another new item you may spot is the Barber Shop Pole. No new tag, but I do believe it has been added recently!
You may spot some rainbow items on animals around Jamaa. Most are variations of past items – just with a crazy colorful flair!
Some are even animated...
I'm that funny antennae over there, ruining the picture, hehe. Doesn't RockabillyKitty have a BOSS outfit? These moving tails are part of an armor set available in the diamond shop. Pretty schnazzy, eh?
You can purchase the other rainbow items at the brand new Cloud Party new to this update. Sadly flying animals only can enter.
This is basically a way of making another members only party...But I suppose that's just how AJHQ goes about making a membership worth it. There are rainbow colored versions of Jamaa's most popular items...
And some brand new rainbow sky themed furniture items! These actually have different colors available too – much of the time some interesting gradients and such. An interesting concept, fo sho.

Over at the Jam Mart Furniture again, we have a fantastic brand new theme for the start of summer. Pretty fun little addition to any beach themed den. Which of these items will make its way into yours?
It seems we'll continue to see some items coming out, like the Sand Pool, Sandman, and many more... I'm personally more excited for the stuff that would appear on the beach itself. Like that pool!!
As many older jammers may remember, these were sold in the Conservatory in Appondale. They've returned in full force though, and with some new additions to boot. Seems like there will be more in the future too! The lion, otter and owl just to name a few...
I'm so glad these have returned, I love plant den items. ^-^
Meanwhile a fun new adventure has entered Jamaa. Interestingly enough it's located in the main party hat tag. Is it because it's a limited time adventure, or because it's new and AJHQ wants us to play?
Over on the new animal side of things though, we have confirmation that the next animal is a llama, and even the correlating animated video to get us pumped for the release. Ain't it just adorkable?
It seems Wind Rider is on Double Gems currently, and that the llama may come out in the next update two weeks from now.
Is it bad that on June 13, the top right Saturday, instead of
BATTLE FOR THE BEACON, I saw, BATTLE FOR THE BACON.
Does that make me a bad person?

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised nobody mentioned Rainbow Dash at the sight of all those rainbow items.
I figured out how the adventure works. Basically there are phantom pipes you have to destroy on two sides, the Westfield and the Eastland. When you destroy them, you get orange diamonds that you save up to buy items in the shop there. I'm saving up for a Phantom Trophy.
Before the topiaries left without announcement, I unknowingly bought them all as a future decoration for my dens.
I like that AJHQ doesn't include every piece of news in the updates and lets us explore on our own.
I give the update a 10/10. New pet, new party, new adventure, new shop, den set, and armor set.
I'll will expect a tidal wave of Rainbow Dash. *shields self*

ReplyDeleteTomorrow Im going to a forest for field trip! I don't need to go actually, my backyard is a forest full of deer, Hawks, skunks, birds, rabbits, squirrels, (squirrels are great outdoor pets, you should get one snowy they're fun!) and my friend saw a coyote! It is also full of trees and other bugs, so I think you would like it Snowy. And in the same village, a beach that allows dogs full of tiger sharks if you go SUPER far out, mussels, crabs, jellyfish, they're so squishy on land :3 snails, little fish, water bugs, you get the idea. XD I hope I didn't make you jealous, but this would be Snowy paradise.

ReplyDeleteHmmm... A lot to take in :P the update was realised on a wednesday, not thursday. Is this going to be a permanent thing or was it a mistake? The armour is ok apart from one thing. the helmet looks like a raccoon tail is sticking out of it. (for some reason i decided to buy the whole set XD) Also, some pets that used to be diamonds are now gems and the pet arctic wolf and pet tarantula have returned againnnn. The topiary is cool but they put it right in warrior cat territory XD AJ will probably be seeing some very annoyed role players. Llamas are cute but the front legs still look like a little boy wearing shorts. not for me lol. The battle for the beacon is REALLY glitchy like ARGGGHHHH! Im annoyed because it was glitching to bad to be played. The sand castle items are nice and then a random barber shop pole. On fleek XD ANNNNDDDDDD The piglets! so cute! but kinda look like they were based of the hamsters. So thats my opinion on the new update, whats yours? And congrats to you if you read all that!

One week they have absolutely nothing in the Jamaa Journal, but two weeks later it's like they just took everything they were working on and threw it at us XD. I do love this update though. Llamas and pigs will be great additions to my farm. The new adventure makes my AJ life more realistic since it is like a real war. I am now both a soldier and a cafe owner. It's a tough life for a turquoise snow leopard...

ReplyDeleteToday, there is once new item in Epic Wonders, Elegant Curtains (member item). AJ seems to be in a bit of a rush today xP, they forgot the "NEW" sign on the item. The Sand Oasis (also member) is another new item that is being sold at the regular furniture shop.The Clam Shell Ottoman, Clam Shell Chair, and Bubble Emitter (all member items) are leaving in 5 days, catch em while you can at the Sunken Treasure Shop. The Skull Necklace and Lifeguard Whistle (both members, again... -_- ) are leaving as well (skull=6 days, lifeguard=10). You can buy them at Bahari Bargains. Other than that (unless I missed something... eheheh) no other items are leaving or are entering AJ. Well, that's all I got.

ReplyDeleteAlright, so as some of you may have noticed, the AJP is down. It's deleted.

And there's a reason.
Stress.
Even though I only post on Wednesdays, and there's not much for me to do, and school is ending and all that, I just simply have too much on my plate right now. I manage an entire blog. It's hard, harder than you think (at least for me)
Also, I deleted the blog because of my own problems.
I was becoming addicted to AJ.
It started simple enough, play once or twice a week, but soon, it grew. It went from twice to three times a week. Four. Five. Soon, I was playing all week, sometimes for 3-4 hours a time. It was beginning to affect me.
I became ill sometimes. I was tired. Sometimes, I sneaked out at night just to get on. It was terrible, I was caught in a vicious loop.
So I quit for a while.
But something brought me back on.
The cycle became worse, everyday, I would play for almost 3 hours. My dreams would be filled with it. I was becoming obsessed with AJ, and the blog made it worse.
So I decided to face it and delete my blog.
I know I could've gone on without it, let the authors write for me.
But I couldn't just leave it. I was going to quit it or keep it.
I quit it.
The AJP isn't coming back, ever. It's down, for probably a long time.
I'm still playing AJ though, my buddies are the same, and I love you all equally. I might just play less. I need to take action.
I'm sorry if I let you down, and I hope you can forgive me for the confusion. I'm still a Jammer, I'll still be a commentor here.
I'll just be doing it with out the AJP.

Aww, I'm a sad that it's gone but you have to do what is best for you. I understand why you deleted it, AJ can become addicting sometimes. But I'm glad you'll still be commenting here :) And you didn't let me down, I'm glad you did what's best for you and I hope everything is much better for you :)

ReplyDeleteAww but three hours isn't so bad I would wake up in the morning and bring the computer into my bedroom before my family were up. Once it would need to charge (about 3 hours later) id bring it out plug it in and continue playing only pausing to eat and use the restroom this became a habit and I would play up to 8 hours a day I played for 5 today but mainly YouTube I don't play aj

ReplyDeleteDon't worry, people were trading Flower Crowns for legitimate betas, like the Beta Fire Pit. Don't trade (a lot) for items that've left, they'll probably come back, and if an item has left, chances are, it's a seasonal item...

To me, llamas don't seem like Diamond Shop material. I think it's more of a Gem animal, but I really doubt it'll be NM.
