Hey jammers! Apologies for the lack of post yesterday – AJHQ updated laaate in the day, when I was off working at my little local wildlife shelter. I'm stepping in for a post between the days, a Fri'd-Thursday post per say, with a mixture of items and updates!
The new item for today are the crates, but we have the rest as yesterday's introduction to the excavation site den items. That was the winning furniture selection as voted by Jamaa Journal readers.
Which element of this little collection are you looking forward to? I like the looks of that patchwork tent! And that cute little lantern. ^-^ With this update we have the big name addition – THE JAMMER WALL.
Hehe, called it!! It's a pawsome first draft, add-on to the Animal Jam community, but it still has quite a few bugs to work out!
Cami, the daughter of an Animal Jam employee and the voice of Wild Explorers (official Animal Jam YouTube channel), made a little video of the Jammer Wall introduction. It's quite well done!
Hopefully headquarters keeps their word with this little experiment being released to all jammer eventually. We'll see!
We have two different pets coming to Jamaa as well!! The winner of the Animal Jam poll process, and a new gift card bonus.
Ferrets look pretty cute, but I'm not sure what I think about the couch.
Hyenas are on the way out, be sure to grab one if you have the diamonds and membership to spare. Speaking of departures...

ReplyDeleteThe Jammer Wall was a really exciting update at the start, but now, I think it sorta sucks. It's pretty much like regular chatting with friends, but you just get to talk with a larger variety of people... I don't really see the point. (You can still leave messages on my wall, I just probably won't be there much XD)
The Excavation Site (I read it as evacuation) items are a lot better than I expected. They're tons better than the other two themes. Wish I voted for this...

Jammer Wall: I feel like this is sort of an advancement of the communications of Jammers; it is as if they have created a system of their own similiar to texting. However, I wish it would do something when someone posts to your wall. Then again, it might already and I just have not noticed. Also, I am highly fond of the customization. It really brings out who we are in Jamaa.
Pet Peacocks: The newest pets are simply adorable. I do not neccesarilly like the items you may add to them, but I see some great themes there if I decide to get more peacocks. Also, the color options for these pets are amazing.
Pet Ferrets: I like these more than peacocks, actually. Sadly, I do not live near any of the stores that carry Animal Jam gift cards. Also, I am way too lazy to actually go out of town and get one.

I will be hypocritically lenient because I love how your character blends together to be more unique than others. I love the way the blues mix together upon the sand-colored pelt. Your representation of the ice tail armor is very lovely, and the way you made the fur on the face is creative. Wonderful artwork.

ReplyDelete-The Jammer Wall is really laggy and limited
-The peacock has to be bought with diamonds. And if you don't have enough diamonds? You have to buy a diamond gift card. With real money . You know what else needs real money? The ferret pet.
-The peacock pets are huge. Like, almost too big. I know that peacocks have large tails, but larger animals such as the pony pet are usually larger than peacocks (minus the tail).

ReplyDeleteThe Conservation Museum donation is used to support endangered big cats. I proudly give 1000 gems a week, but many newer Jammers do not even know about it. What I meant is that AJHQ is begging for real money like rats at the back door of a city restaurant.

ReplyDeleteHaha, I was the best at naming things as a kid, too. I had a lizard named Fast Runner and two stray kittens we fed. One was named No-Tail (his tail had been burnt off) and the other was named Snowflake (she was whiter than the others). I am very imaginative.

On the pet ferret topic, does anyone else here not have access to any of those stores? I feel like I literally live in the middle of nowhere now. Now I know what to ask my aunt for my Birthday, I guess. (She works for Disney World, so she has plenty of stores and all.) Ferrets are awesome. Small towns need some small Walmarts. Tiny Town Problems. :P

Ive walked into walmart once, but... my family doesnt really like walmart. Something about workers not paid well, something like that.

ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome, but I do not know what the colors would be like. Maybe... Color 1 for the body, Color 2 for the feather base, and perhaps the patterns would make the tail more awesome? I think it would be great no matter how they work it out, though.
ReplyDeleteI submitted a bird idea a while back, too. My friend had come up with the idea of parrots as avatars and we could have other birds and birds-only worlds. Hmm... I wonder if that had a slight impact on our owls and eagles today. THat would be awesome if it did.
When Snow Leopards, Lions, and Arctic Wolves first came out, I couldn't sit down with excitement when we went to go get the cards on the first or second days. Haha... My family has always liked Walmart, even if the closest one is in the next town. They have pretty much anything, and anything that they don't have we can get from Bert. Bert is awesome. Shout-out to Bert.

ReplyDeleteYeah, he was a sad little story. I am pretty sure I saw him this past February at school, though, with a few other cats. I assume he started his own Clan, haha. Our school has a ton of stray's- most of the by my mother's art classroom either in the closet with their kittens or under this random table sitting outside. Well, hopefully all stray cats can get a story like No-Tail.

You can talk to others without them having to be online, and you can talk to more than one person, a Jammer Wall can even be used as a blog and have little segments.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe that I got an extremely rare bat mask! I got it on The Forgotten Desert, which proves how you can get good stuff on adventures. Somebody told me it wasn't rare at all but I had looked it up, and it proved that only like 100 jammers have it!
