And now, for the Monday Mystery!
In the Medical Center, there's tons on diagrams, weird looking machines, and beds that could be found in a normal doctor's office, here on Earth. But not a single NPC (non-playable character) resides there as a doctor/nurse. Do the animals in Jamaa even get sick? Why, or why not? Who runs the Medical Center? What happens there when we log out, or even as we stay logged in? And if animals can get sick, could they pass away?

ReplyDeleteAJ should allow for you to learn how use multiple things the higher your level is.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, at level 4 or higher you can carry over 4 boomseeds, and your attacks get stronger.
Your animal should also change the damage output on phantom webs and things.
At level 8 though, you get a free heart. That's all I've seen for now.

Brown was the least common colour of glossy Cupid Wings, so it's the rarest. :3

ReplyDeleteLike I said before, all animals of Jamaa are injected with a certain solution that prevents against most possible diseases they could contract. When we log off, the animals are free; they no longer need to follow our mouse clicks or our movements. The animals are given the vaccine while young to prevent them from passing away, and keeping players interested in the game. The actual Medical Centre is just for show. :P

AJHQ should let our animals get sick and go to the medical center to get healed, so the medical center can get more attention! :D If the owner of the animal doesn't care for them and doesn't bring them, the animal shall die :3

We should have JOBS in AJ! :D Like, for example, someone could be a doctor to heal the sick animals!
Another example, is someone showing a new jammer around, giving them a tour :D

Maybe animals know how to use the tools by themselves. I think AJHQ made the building only for roleplay. They should make it that in adventures if you get shocked a certain amount of times, you have to go get medical help before you get do another adventure!

ReplyDeleteI think it is like toy story. When we log on, the animal must follow our clicks of the mouse and movement of the arrow keys, but when we log off, they are home free. And the phantom beacon revives animals, so it is like a medical center that's in a lot of places at the same time.

ReplyDeleteYay, great post! I love the item (too bad my laptop died the second I got into the medical center and I had to run upstairs to my room, where I found a cockroach, to plug it in. LIFE).
ReplyDeleteMM: The civilian animals of Jamaa do occasionally get injured by the phantoms and need medical attention. Unlike the animals who go into war, they are not used to being given Zios' resurrection-like magic to respawn them. The civilian animals need to be treated and healed instead of respawning due to them not being in sight of many checkpoints. However, they can not pass away. Due to the magic Zios once set upon Jamaa, animals are able to stay alive eternally. That's my theory. :)
I think that could add to my AJ life even more. However, I don't think our animals should die. Maybe they just get put into a deep sleep like on adventures and spawn in some sort of room perhaps leading to an ER in the Medical Center. My current AJ job is the Dean and Head Professor of Grand Red of Jamaa College, but I think it would be awesome to have jobs and maybe be payed a small amount of coins for each day we work.
ReplyDeleteI kinda wish we could feed and take care of our animals more, like seen in Webkinz. That would add interest and more things to do in the game. And we should definitely be able to heal our animals somehow. Like, maybe if you don't give them enough food they get sick and you have to take em to the Medical Center?

I don't understand how headdresses are suddenly so rare. I mean, now people are trading four long spikes for one. I remember when a headdress used to be worth maybe, I don't know, wood floor? I know they can't be found in The Forgotten Desert, but the chances of getting other rares is slight too...

ReplyDeleteHere's my theory: You know how when you first start, one of the alphas come to greet you? Well, I think that before you leave from the tutorial, the alphas put some sort of magic on you. You can get injured, but there's only the pain, no injuries to be found. The magic also prevents jammers from passing away, keeping them alive forever. All the jammers are unaware of this wonderful magic keeping even the jammers from the beta days alive till now. The items from a real doctor's office are just decoration, to make you feel safe if you get an "injury". If you get injured, and you find yourself in a doctor's office, don't you feel safer, knowing you are about to be treated? It's not a good theory, but it works!
They have tour guides in Club Penguin, though. If AJ did that, it would seem like they were copying.

ReplyDeleteAs for the Monday Mystery, I don't think animals can get sick on AJ, sand I don't think AJHQ ever intended them to get sick. I think it is just for all the roleplayers out there who want a little action and pretend to get sick or hurt.( I actually enjoy doing that from time to time.) Although, most everyone probably knows that. And I HOPE they don't pass away!

ReplyDeleteIt'd be so cool if you could advance to higher and higher ranks in you job and get paid diamonds! Maybe you could even start your own shop where you could sell items for gems? I really wish AJ had a system like the GTS in Pokemon, where you can put an item up and request another item, but all players can see your request. Trades would get done faster and more people would get the items they want.
Honestly, I feel like 2+ den betas are worth a spiked wrist, but they should be worth more than any spike item considering you can get collars/wristbands in TFD.

You must be wondering who I am.
I am your animal!
...You don't know what I am talking about? That's fine, its been years since we've seen each-other afterall.
I remember how I was your very favorite animal out of the bunch. You logged on nearly everyday to see me!
You spent hours on collecting items and customizing my appearance, playing games with me and doing adventures.
You probably still have no clue of what is going on. I'll just explain it.
Jamaa's animals were extremely weak after a violent battle against the phantoms and the Alphas struggled to keep everyone strong. So Mira took pity on us and used the last of her power to paint a perfect world, of what Jamaa was before the nightmarish war.
Unfortunately, we were unable to access it. Mira lacked enough power to create an entire new world so she stored it all on another world's database-yours. It could only be opened when someone from that world gave us the ability to.
So Mira disguised it as a simple game. If a human creates an account, it opens up the portal for a specific jammer and allowed them to be called from the ravaged world and welcomed into paradise. It also gives us 'immortality', so we cannot be injured or hurt in any way.
Anyway, same goes for changing animals. Along with our 'immortal' ability we were given the ability to shapeshift! Pretty cool, huh?
The Alphas used to be a way bigger group then what you know. But most of them left to become the 'moderators' of the game to make it appear more like a virtual world. They left the ones who had been an Alpha the longest to take care of Jamaa itself, who are the ones you know.
Since its a game, you guys control our actions. But they don't feel forced at all! It felt completely natural to us, like you reading these words. Who knows, maybe someone is controlling you right now?
But the ones in the other world still needed help. So portals were opened up as 'adventures' which led back to the war world. Haven't you wondered why you never see phantoms outside of the adventures? Well, that's because they don't exist in the paradise world. That's also why you only get hurt in adventures specifically, and why you can't shapeshift. Those portals just lead back to other world. The gates are specifically only for those who were 'invited' to paradise.
That's why the animals in the adventures don't follow you through, most of them can't! Out of the ones who make an appearance in the adventures, only Peck, Liza, and Graham were invited through, but the latters chose to return back to the war world to help, so currently Peck leads the new jammers over the bridge to Jamaa.
So, what happens if someone stops playing? Don't worry, we don't die or anything. We are transported to a separate server so we don't cause any chaos to the players with our free actions and live life normally on, just without the shapeshifting ability and now 'immortal'.
There is a reason why the hospital is there! That's specifically for the animals in the 'real life', since we get ill, hurt, and will die naturally. It looks empty to you but its actually bustling with activity!
Oh yeah, I need to thank you! You led me out of a certain death and into nirvana, and kinda grew onto me as some type of sibling or something. I really miss you.
You're probably wondering why I'm contacting you right now. Plain and simple, we need your help. The phantoms are trying to leak into our paradise and we can't let that happen!
So, are you going to do it?
