Hey jammers! Today's item is the Upside Down Pot, sold in the New Year's Party 2013. It was originally sold at the wacky April Fools Party in 2012 (notice the very strange gem price).
As you might have heard, the Clover Table was yesterday's new item. It was last sold in 2012's Lucky Day Party.
Also, Kielessa spotted a neat Animal Jam ad featuring Greely, the wolf alpha! What do you think of his newer look?

Side note... For some reason I'm not able to change font on the blog, has anyone encountered this issue before? What do I do? Also, I was wondering, does that ad over there bother you guys a ton? I don't want it to take away from the blog. >.<

Fits in with the white background. But now that there are noisy ads... I think that this ad stuff needs to stop. Sorry if you can't get a chatroll membership, though. The comments have decreased since you added ads.

I agree, but I'd say that the jeweler's theme makes him kind of confusing to look at. Before they removed the jewel, I thought he was the jeweler shaman.

I like the new Greely. He seems a bit more regal and befitting to his personality; he looked a little zombie - like before! X'D

DeleteHis glowing yellow eyes are kinda weird, they could've kept his ruby eye.... and his coloring is weird... Greely could use some improvement, but he's supposed to look like a zombie. He studies dark magic, after all...
DeleteI agree with the ruby eye. It would have made for an interesting story. But I like that his eyes have some life to them, it's like a reminder that Greely isn't as bad as some may think.

I have mixed feelings about the greelys..The old one is Classic AJ, so I'll have to go with the old one. I'm not digging how they re made the Shamans/Alphas. I wish they could still call them Shamans, too! But I'm glad they brought them back....But they really haven't :(
ReplyDeleteYou can still call them shamen on this blog, but on AJ alphas. I would hate AJ (and I love AJ, so that would be a big thing)if they brought the actual SHAMEN back! They look like somebody implanted weird eyes into them, and they look scary with those creepy eyes. I think that they did a good job, since they made Peck look like a boy, although Greely could be done better. You don't have to go classic, and the name shaman makes me think of people who cast dark spells on people and make up odd medicines. So, Mia776, I have nothing against you, but I say that they REALLY brought them back. Besides, if it was a game for ages 6-9, the prospect of Alphas would be more understandable. Shamen are for teen games, I say.

Nice and dark, he's worthy of a phantom crafter. Guys, please do NOT despise AJ for making Alphas, because they do their best to please us. We would REALLY stress out the owner of Animal Jam, and he might think we despise Jamaasian culture. Besides, the Jamaasian movement was about bringing back Shamen, but we could've failed if AJHQ didn't think of altering them. Just be happy with the name ALPHA, shaman feels wrong for me. Only Cosmo and Greely are actually witch doctors, and calling someone like Lisa a shaman is more like an insult. Mia776, next time, could you please consider that retro and classic aren't always the best to go with? AJHQ thinks we'll like Jamaasian culture if they make them Alphas, and we don't want to prove them wrong and erase the Jamaasian movement.

ReplyDeleteYes, a ruby over his eye tells that his eye was scratched out, and his purple look is weird, but I thought he was a jeweler when I saw his gem in his paw. So they could've done better, I guess. Keeping the red ruby and his color would be good.

Like for example, the upside down plant, in real life, would a small plant really cost $123? It would be more like $10, so AJ should price the plant 10 gems. It would be so much easier if they lowered the prices. :L

DeleteAJ is a game, not real life. It doesn't need to be real life like. AJ HQ uses their own imagination, so don't judge it that way. The HQ wouldn't want that, and probably wouldn't tolerate it.

Greely is the alpha closest to phantoms, so he has phantoms displayed with him. In his original description, it says that he is the link to the darker side of Animal Jam mythology. So no, he's not evil, it;s just that he can create phantoms at will.

I was comfused,but theni scrolled up and saw the starbuck ad.. ^.^ By the way I dont really like the new items to much green for me,plus i dont need more plants then I already have.
