Hey jammers! Sorry for irregular posts here on AJS, but is authors have lots of stressful schoolwork. But no matter - to Jamaa! Today's Jam Mart Furniture new items are Glass Shelves!
Pretty shnazzy den deco, eh? In other very important jammer news, AJHQ's new rechat feature lets you be a copycat of your friend!
All you need to do is to have the same name as you friend (for some reason it recognizes by name, no username). Check to see if it still works, it seems like fun. And finally, a glitch!
The Frozen Torch leaves stores today, bd sure to grab one before they go!
What do you think of this "items leaving all the time" concept? Do you think it will lead to more rares in the future?

I agree, Arthop. I like rares only because they look cool. Every single item that looks epic is always rare and whenever I want to put my fav outfits, everybody starts to brag for my stuff. WOULD IT JUST QUIT? BRING BACK RARES, AJHQ! I'M SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE ASKING MY RARES WHEN THEY'RE NOT ON MY LIST!

DeleteAnd why does AJHQ have to make the rares look so epic? D: I think AJ would be a whole different story if the rares aren't so epic-looking (my opinion.) I'm trying to say, I think that the rare items (example: spikes and headdresses) are epic-looking and that's why they're my dream items; not really because of value anymore. Hard to explain right now... ._. Wait, this might have nothing to do with anything XD so.. I think that:
1) Its hard for AJHQ to keep all items in stores as well as add new items- kind of like limited inventory space.
2) AJHQ is attempting to make these type of items 'rare items' for the newer Jammers. idk o3o Hope this at least made some sense!
I think it's a mix between AJHQ wanting to make people play more by creating rares, but also bringing back some old, really Jamaa-culture type items.

DeleteI think I know why people don't "notice" the Monday Rares. They almost always use the same color (the purple) for the rares? Some people might not like that color, I think it looks fine but it's not the best… They need to let us change it, like the fox hat or something. This is my opinion why people don't think the rares are "good".
DeleteAlso, no offense, but AJ keeps making stuff that are just not my taste. They need something that can go with anything. Again, like the fox hats.
I don't really care about rares like some other people do. I don't trade every rare I see or go to Aldan just to tell people how rare I look. I usually don't wear rares. I bet about 2/3 people play AJ to get rarer. The other third likes AJ for what it is or use it as a social thing.

RGHHH i hate rares too. Thats all some jammers ever think about. I wish all the rares would just come in stores >:) and betas too >:) I dont care about collecting or anything, and besides, that would bring a happier peace to Jamaa.
DeleteA few weeks ago, I was wearing rare scary halo, which is my favorite item, and my first monday rare as a member :) anyway like I would never put something like that on trade i love it to much x3, and this girl comes up to me and says, "What for halo" and I'm like nothing sorry, and she says "well you're wearing it so if it's not for trade then take it off, or I report you!" And I'm like go ahead I wont trade :P

Some items are seasonal, not rare. But they still hold some value because you cannot buy them whenever you want. You have to wait for that season again. People need to respect how inconvenient it is to get certain things, even if they do come back in 7,8, 9, or 10 months.

Arthop, I agree too. I mean, some items, like betas, are fun when they're not in stores, because then you can make it a little game to get them. And also, so much scamming would be going on. But I agree with you, the main reason I have rares is because I love how they look.

DeleteWell, are you asking about regular wizard hats and witch hats, or rare wizard hats and witch hats? If you're referring to un-rare wizard hats and witch hats, then you'll probably get a witch hat for wizard hat (or vice versa.) Because they were both sold at the same time: Night of the Phantoms. But I'm not sure what they're worth for different items entirely.

Yes, the rare witch hat is worth more, I don't think it was rereleased during the hatapalooza, but the rare wizard was. But for the normal ones, I think cutepups is right.

ReplyDeleteI mean, it is good and all, so you don't have to spend all your gems in one go, but it is stressful if you didn't buy the item and you don't know which ones are going away...

But the items leaving clears up space for the shops, AJHQ wouldn't want super-crowded shops, they would want a well-organized shop.

I have 2 fox hats, one red, one white. I gave away my blue cuz I didn't want it anymore. So now whenever I put my fox hats on, people spam my jamaa gram system and crash my game O3O...

AJHQ is putting rares back so there would be no scammers and jammers ALWAYS spam their inbox when they contact them and message them about a scammer but AJHQ never looks at them because there are so many messages! So AJHQ is trying to put rares (Mostly in Adventures because i got a beta mat from there) so scammers would finally leave! And other jammers report others because they will not accept any of their trades. Everyone please listen we cannot change a mind! Everyone has their own ways whether or not they like rares or dont! But rares actually dont really matter.. And yes Anonmyous i know how it feels like to get TONS of jam-a-grams! Lots of people keep asking for my gazalles when i keep telling them its not for trade -.-

Now I'd hate to be the one to say this, but practically Animal Jam will never just release all the rares. If you have noticed Animal jam is made up of several groups of people. RPG, Trading, and a very small amount of just Jammers. If they are to release rares a large portion of members would quit: therefore, causing Animal Jam to loose a large amount of income downgrading the game in both players and abilities to update and maintain the game. As much as I would enjoy the whole free for everyone idea. Trading has been a p[art of the game since betas left the stores, and even before the trading system itself existed. Just leading to the entire idea to be the destruction of the game.
