Once received, you can activated it in the pet screen! Observe...
These wacky effects appeared a long time ago, but never really seemed to become popular. Do you have a pet effect? Does it still work? Is AJHQ adding new pet effects with each new pet brought into stores? I'm writing to you today to tell you about a very serious issue on Animal Jam. Non Member disrespect. Non Members get treated like dirt, for example someone said I had no brain because I don't have membership, I have litterally had enough. Recently you removed COPYING AND PASTING from Non Members which is just plain rediculous. Animal Jam is becoming such a Member based game and I know a lot of people agree with me. Every animal that is being released is for Members only which is just so unfair, we get no variety what so ever. I used to enjoy Animal Jam so much before it became so Member Based, when I became a member i realised how many advantages they get and after I became a Non Member again I had nothing. I thought AJHQ monitored our behaviour, or so you claim, if you do how do you not know how many scams happen in one day? How people get bullied? This prooves that you don't care what-so-ever about what happens in Animal Jam, you just wait for people to buy membership and be happy with your money. Please be more considerate of others than money hoggers. A good game is a fair game where everyone can enjoy themselves, at the moment not many people are enjoying themselves.

DeleteUh, NMs can now have more dens AND a underwater den. So really we've taken a big step forward. Still wish there were more NM things but really it's gotten better. Believe me I know. I've been playing for a few years and I've never once been a member.

DeleteI agree with 3711. Nonmembers have quite a lot of rights in AJ when compared to other similar games (CP, Fantage). I've been a nonmember for a long time (though I have a membership now) and since I didn't care much for rares or popularity, I found a lot of nice friends and I was able to enjoy AJ. Remember, AJHQ still needs to make money to keep the game up. Otherwise, we won't have AJ to play at all.

Yes, pet effects are quite uncommon across Jamaa, I've only known one person on AJ who has them, and a long time ago I saw and old blog post about them.. but they're definitely not something you see every day.

Hello, I have a slight problem with Animal Jam these days...
ReplyDeleteEverybody is so rare induced that when a friend is reported to be scamming or something EVERYBODY who knew the person instantly starts patronizing the guy. How do I know this? It happened to my close friend who's name shall remain private. I still remain friends with them and I'm taking all the blame for NO REASON. Please stop focusing on rares, remember what this game was made for.
Another problem:
Membership. Lots of the members currently bully the nonmembers and it's really sad to see it. Often times you'll see a member talking to a nonmember and all of the sudden more members will bash on both of them and start a whole entire war in Jamaa Township. Please know that all of you are EQUALS.

I really don't like when Animal Jam is slowly putting more and more pressure on nonmembers to become members. Really, it's kind of dumb because almost everybody is members.

I agree about the non members getting bullied by members, I must have seen that happen 16 times THIS WEEK. And sadly 7 of those times were when a BUNCH of members in Jamaa were shouting things like "NON MEMBERS ARE NOT AS GOOD AS MEMBERS!" or "NON MEMBERS AREN'T AS SMART!" The only difference between members and non members are that non members don't think they need the membership or their parents don't want to get it for them. Another think I'm noticing is that jammers that aren't member or aren't rare aren't treated good (especially jammers that don't have rates and betas) but then the really rare member ones with spikes and all are treated like royalty.

Ok look, I'm NM. I've always been NM and I see why people want more things for us. I've been bullied (just recently actually) because of my NM status. But seriously people, NMs have really improved from what they used to be. The restricted items is annoying BUT reasonable. AJHQ makes money from memberships to keep AJ up and running. Members pay actual money for the features. I see that the animals, color changing, gift openings, and dens is annoying but we've come SO FAR!

2) We now have a underwater den available to us
3) Turtles are NM
4) Pet hamsters are NM
5) Adventures are NM
6) Most items have a NM version (yeah I know but really, there are NM versions for member items)
7) We can get into Play as Your Pet and Pet parties
8) Seahorses are NM now
Really those are only a few things. NMs have come far and seriously people. I know things are annoying and that members can be bullies, but we can always be the bigger person and say it won't bother me. That we can enjoy AJ as NMs or members. Members have always picked on me, but I've always been able to have another member step and do something. Another random Jammer or just a pawsome buddy both were members and both stood up and said it wasn't right. We can be the bigger person and there are always members out there who will be fair.

Sorry for being so serious but after reading all the comments I feel like we're taking things for granted. Though some problems are just plain annoying, others are just ludicrous to bring up. We've really come far and we can be the bigger person.

ReplyDelete1# Too much religion. I am not a religious person, but I certainly don't have a problem with people who are. But probably 80% of Jammers are religious, and whenever someone just happens to say "I'm not christian" or something like that, and these religious people come in and attack whoever said that.. calling them not very nice things, and telling them that they will go to hell because they don't serve the lord... nobody else will probably agree with me but, I think that's just stupid.
2# Fake hackers: Remember the Awesome Sunnybrave break-out? Well, there are STILL people pretending to be hackers, and really scaring people! That's probably the reason AJHQ stopped nms from sending gifts!
3# Rares. I am not totally against rares, but I don't really like them. I would be so happy if AJHQ brought them back, I think maybe they should still continue monday rares, but that's it. I don't like having to trade like everything I own just to get a rare for my outfit! I want a pink collar to put on my arctic wolf, and I wish I could just trade something like a mummy glove, because they came out before spikes, so it SHOULD be fair! But I bet I couldn't even get a pink spike for 50 mummy gloves!
4# rare ppl. Ok, I don't want to offend anyone (Ik I will though....), but, I don't like for ppl. At all. For the exeption on some of my buddies, or snowyclaw. I'm not into lilacpetel, julian2, or anyone ele who's super rare and makes videos and only cares about rares. Yes, I pretty much hate them all. Why? Well, there is lots of reasons. I will tell you some things that happened to me that make me feel this way. Ok, so I was in crystal sands, and I see azan1234, I USED to be a big fan of him, until what happens next. So I was talking to someone, and I just happened to say I did not really like azan1234 anymore because I saw him scam. (he really did scam). Ad he comes over and is like " I DIDN'T SCAM, I BET YOU JUST SCAMMED BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GET RARES BY TRADING". Ugh, seriously? That is NOT true! And thenas soon as I knew it, all of crystal sands was against me. I knew what azan did. But they all just blamed it on me. I can't remember everything they said but ik I was called a "beach" (a bitch). So, yeah... but I did ban him after... ok here's another reason: Ok, so I'm not that rare, and I really don't care as long as I can make cool outfits. But whenever one of my buddies gets "rare", they never hang out with me!! Mybest buddy, who I am not going to say his user, was my buddy for like 2 years. We always hung out, and talked. But then, he got 2 blue long collars, and now all he does is go to flashing parties and stuff :(
Soooooo true about rares and rare people.I remember once about a very spiked obessed person named mattypenguin. She buddied me and later scammed my Green long spiked collar.To be honest it's odd how some people even make one sad buy doing these type of things.

Delete:c Well, I'm a little rare but I hang out with my buddies! I have some really nice buddies who are rare, like Nebulamoons or Twisting. I know some jammers who're somewhat famous, like WisteriaMoon and BrynnJax, they're fun to hang out with and my buddies are their buddies. I'm not offended by anything you said, but there's one thing you have to know: don't put labels on people. Just because they like rares doesn't mean they're snooty. Just because they have fans doesn't means they're ignorant.

Tarachimah, I don't label people as snooty or what not if I haven't seen how they act, trust me, I've met pretty much all the famous people and they are quite rude. Especially lilacpetal.... And I watched one of julian2's mail times, and he got a jam a gram with a short wrist saying "send me back plz" and he didn't send anything back, he didn't even say thanks!

•sigh• Animal Jam has issues yes, but sometimes I feel as if jammers do not look at the facts of the game. As much as you may hate them, members, rares, and rare jammers, are nessicary for the games survial. Membership keeps the game running. A large portion of rare jammers are members. Without members there are no updates or even the abillity to keep the game running. In my eyes this game is EXTREMELY generous. Have you seen how other games threat there non pay to play members? I do see the issues with religon and hackers and such. These issues can easily be avoided and prevented.

i've been wondering WHY cant non-members cant play the pet games? Its like how non members can play the horse and dolphin race without the animals. So why cant HQ make a random dog or snake for the pet games?
