Spirit Artwork #23

There! Nestled between the daisy stems, beneath the wheelbarrow! A sparkling, golden egg! You dash towards it, trying to hide your smug grin at the fact that you were the first to notice it. As you draw nearer, however, you notice that the object that caught your eye was not an egg, but merely a crumpled ball composed of a few glossy pieces of paper, shining in the bright midday sun. Disappointed, but curious nonetheless, you reach for the cryptic wad of paper. It is cool and moist in contrast to the warm spring sun all around, so you conclude that it had been hidden under the shade of the wheelbarrow for some time. You smooth it out, and squint at the pictures and text printed on the page.

Two lovely pieces sent in by lucykate651! I especially love the style of paws on the first piece. The free-flowing lines, the bright colors against darker colors, and the expressive faces of the characters make the pieces interesting to look at.

A piece depicting Mira, done by Maxithecat05. The sketchy linework adds to the whimsical atmosphere of the piece. An interesting choice of background color helps the white glowing eye stand out and make itself known as the center of the piece.

An adorable piece of art sent in by Muffinjelly! The repetition of the same flowers from the flower crown in the background help to add a feeling of consistency. The floating petals theme, as well as the light gradient markings on the fur, contribute a soft, light atmosphere.

Not very many pieces this time around so I'm going to include a sketch of my arctic wolf that I did! Enjoy! c:

You may have noticed that the introductory image no longer features the Gentlebug, my otter. Well, I lost my membership. I've been thinking to hold an art contest to draw the ladybug-otter in various places in Jamaa. I would feature each piece in these intros. My top favorites would receive a decent rare.

What do you think? c:
