Hi Jammers! Sorry for the late post, I was too busy snuggling up in today's cozy new item, the Knitted Sweater, located in Shiveer Shoppe! ^.^
It looks similar to the Holiday Sweater, but it's member and comes in 8 different colors! A sweater seems fitting for Jamaa's current winter theme, huh?
Anywho, today, while I was waiting for the new item to update, I clicked on the Shop icon and this is what happened! 
A combination of the number glitch and the everything "Rare" glitch...And for some reason there's an AJHQ symbol on all the items. Maybe it was because they were adding the new item? 

I saw another strange thing in Jamaa today! I was playing Jamaa Derby, and all of the sudden I saw a horse wearing this item, and even though I've seen mech helmets many times before, this one seemed different...
That's a bot! Silly AJHQ lets them have any clothes they want. ~snowy
I thought about it, and I'm quite sure that I've never seen this Green Mech Helmet before, aside from in Best Dressed! Odd, but a bit exciting, because this could mean that we might see this item in stores sometime soon, or possibly in Adventures! 
Also, when I was browsing around the web today, I found this cute little AJ Ad! 
Looks like some animals on an Adventure? I think it'll attract some new Jammers for sure!
On a more sad note, the Jamaalidays have ended, along with the Jamaaliday Jam Party! D:
I haven't seen it on the "My Parties" list all day, so I'm pretty sure it won't be returning for awhile.
Now for today's Daily Explorer Post! 
Just the usual post about yesterday's Rare... I wore the wings around a bit yesterday just to be silly! 
Speaking of the Daily Explorer, I also noticed that AJHQ changed the New Year's Party Post. Originally, it was the post from last year, but they changed it to a new post with a 2014 Banner instead of 2013!
I actually noticed that there was a lot of comments and complaints on yesterday's post about how the DE post was the same as last year. Who knows? Maybe that's why AJHQ decided to change it?

    The Alphas were originally called The Shamans but the name was changed probably because some parents complained that it was maybe religious. I can't remember why?

      That is the reason why I believe they changed it. In the dictionary, a shaman is a member of certain tribal societies who acts as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world and who practices magic or sorcery for purposes of healing, divination, and control over natural events.

      - They fit well on animals

      No, I'm pretty sure Smart Bomb Interactive created Animal Jam and has even with NatGeo through the whole way. Smart Bomb creates, NatGeo runs. It's always been that way.

      Me too. :( I loved it and it wasn't boring, but now it's becoming a dangerous game.

      You'll never know how he got it. He can be a tester of the new item or he's just a regular Jammer who found it in the Adventures. I really hope they come back, I want my outfits to look more Jamaasian! :D

      Random bots are generated to take up space so players can play the derby game and enjoy it more, for example, if there were only two players due to the server having an irregular amount of people in one game session, it wouldn't be fair since their gem earnings would be rather constant. So to try to make the game more enjoyable, these bots with rather strange outfit choices are created, sometimes wearing unreleased items.

      I joined legit, a few days after the beata. But the odd part of it is I had no clue I joined right after the beata, untill this year.Oh, and Alphas where once called "Shammans". But really, how do you prononce "Shamman" (or am I even spelling it correctly?)?

      I totally agree with all if you although I do know the reason they are now called alphas--
      Shamans are part of many native american religions, and a few parents complained about them being a religious simbole so they had to change them....

    Hmmm.... Maybe the mech angel helmets will return. I love them because they look kinda cute on most animals. Black mech angel helmets were never in stores, too. You see them in Best Dressed. ^.^

    The answer for the trivia question is that the Alphas were first called the Shamans in the beta times. I was a beta tester and I seen what they used to look like. I still have those cards that you get in the first NG Kids magazine with an AJ app, forgot where I put them...

    Originally the "Alphas" were called the "Shamans".. back in beta. I never actually saw one in-game like Snowy did. They didn't have much spotlight, but now they're in adventures and everything.. I'm not sure if I actually like the change... but.. meh :3

    Have you ever had that glitch in Meet Cosmo where you go into the first cave/chamber, then slid down a slide, ended up on the ledge, tried to slide down another one, then had your animal go spinning across the screen? It's hilarious, but you get stuck on that ledge. D:
