Spirit Stories : Blaze #3

Hello jammers! Tallstar107 here with the next installment of Spirit Stories! Happy Thanksgiving, to those of you who celebrate it :)

I'm very excited to announce that the first sent-in character has been featured in this story! Say hello to Frosta everyone!

This also brings me to another point. There are just too many jammers who would like their characters to be main characters, and I'm really sorry that I can't make everyone a main character. I will still include your character, they just might not be a main character.

Spirit Snaps #6 -Fire

Hiya jammers! Pop with the 6th weekly Spirit Snaps!

The theme for this week is Fire!

 Fire occurs when you add a fuel to oxygen, causing combustion and the flames of a fire. Fire only occurs when you have oxygen, heat and a fuel, so if you remove any of these three components, the fire will go out. This is what happens when you blow on a candle- you are blowing away the oxygen and replacing it with carbon dioxide from your breath. In Iraq, there is rumored to be a flame in an oil field which has been burning for centuries. An ironic fact about fire is that the patent for the Fire Hydrant was destroyed by fire, so nobody knows who designed the Fire Hydrant!

Spirit Snaps #5 Video Games!

Hello again jammers! It's Popsicle here with this week's spirit snaps!

The theme for this week is Video Games! 

The first ever video game was Pong, which was a basic video game where you play against the computer, hitting balls back and forth on the screen. Basic compared with the HD graphics and sophisticated physics in the games of today, but it was the latest technology back then in 1972.

The best selling game of all time is another simple game, Tetris. Over in Animal Jam, the most common game is the Claw Machine, not because it gives you plushies, but because the various den claws are collectible.

Fashion Friday #18: Musical Garb!

Ciao, jammers! Welcome to Fashion Friday! These week's theme was music, and we've got a broad(way) range of great outfits to try on!

First up, a pitch perfect Arctic Wolf!

 

Don't worry, this blue wolf isn't feeling too Les Miserable. It's got a base of pure white, and a light blue secondary color. The pattern is a stark constrast to that, colored dark navy. It's wearing clothes you can mostly buy at Epic Wonders, an Opal Necklace, Diamond Anklet, and a blue DJ Headset. On its back is a Rare Worn Blanket (the second one!) that goes nicely with the light blue fur.

Hey jammers! Terribly sorry for the late post, wi-fi issues and such. Today's new item is the Pixelated Wolf Head, sold in the Diamond Shop!

I have to say I'm not a huge fan of this item, it's not Animal Jam in my opinion. Anywho, in Epic Wonders we have the returning Scorpion Armor!

A Week Without Spirit Dens

It's Choruss here, and this week I do not have a Spirit Dens post for you. 

I'm quite sorry, however I'm in the midst of one of my busiest school weeks! 4 of my unit exams are taking place this week, and I unfortunately do not have time to make a post. :(

Spirit Snaps #4 Alphas

Our theme this week is Alphas!

The Alphas are the guardians of Jamaa. There are currently 7 confirmed Alphas: Liza, Greely, Peck, Sir Gilbert, Cosmo, Tavie and Graham. All of these 7 have been featured in Adventures apart from Sir Gilbert! It's said that the Alphas of Jamaa came from a foreign world to fight the phantoms and reclaim Jamaa for good. AJHQ says that each of the Alphas have different skills and characteristics. It's said that the animal statues in the Mystery Emporium in the Temple Of Zios represent the upcoming alphas!

Fashion Friday #17: Feast of Thanks!

Ciao, jammers! Bonsaii here, with a new Fashion Friday!

First up, a Arctic Wolf Pilgrim!

This Arctic Wolf is dressed like a pilgrim! Pilgrims were people who came to the Americas seeking freedom of religon. They were known for their interesting squarish hats. This wolf has the signature Pilgrim Hat, along with a brown Mustache, and a brown Sword. A tan base with darker fur ties everything together. I used blue eyes to give it a warmer feel, but yellow ones would complement the Pilgrim Hat's golden buckle.

Spirit Stories - Blaze #2

Hello everyone!  Hehe, here I am with the second Spirit Story!  I realize that this is on the same day as an update, and I apologize for that.  I was looking back in the archives to see if I messed up, and it seems like AJHQ didn't have an update for two Thursdays?  Hmm... We'll figure it out!

It's shorter than the first one, as I have had much going on in the past two weeks, but I will make the next one longer to make up for it.  I haven't added in characters yet; I still do not have access to the characters sent in.  I'm working on it, though ^-^  If you'd like to send in a character (you may send in more than one :p )  here is the link!

I apologize for the weird formatting.  This is copied and pasted directly from the Google Doc I wrote it on and I'm not sure how to change the font without having to go back and redo all the italics.  If anyone could tell me, that would be a big help!

Spirit Dens #9 - A Gorgeous Castle (+ A Giveaway!)

Hi guys!

*Big announcement at the end of the post!*

I hope you all had a great Halloween and got lots of candy! I trick or treated with my friends for 3 hours! I could barely feel my fingers it was so cold. 

It's now November, so expect some Feast of Thanks dens soon!

Today's den, however, will be a pretty little castle den.

This den took quite awhile to fully decorate, so I hope you all enjoy it!

More great news, AJ - Play Wild is now out on iPhones and iPod Touch with fresh new updates. Updates include the arrival of the tiger, new dens, games, and much more! Hopefully once AJ - Play Wild is out on Android, I'll be able to publish more detailed posts about the updates.

Spirit Snaps #3 Candy!

Hello there jammers! PopsicleGT here with the third weekly Spirit Snaps post!

This week's theme is Candy. I felt that this theme was fitting because we've all been out trick or treating, and what do we get from trick or treating? That's right, candy!

The word candy originated from the Sanskrit word 'Khanda". "Khanda" means fragment, which is what candy is- a little piece, specifically, a little piece of food. Although candy is usually seen as having sugar in it, originally candy was made using honey. Jelly beans, one of the most popular types of candy, originated from the American Civil War, when a confectioner (candy maker) began sending them to soldiers fighting. Jelly beans are supposedly inspired by Turkish Delights. Another strange fact about candy is that bubble gum was only colored pink early on because pink was the only available food coloring!

Hey jammers! Today I found 3 new/returning/old but nobody mentioned them yet items. First, we have this month's birthstone, the Topaz Birthstone!

The Topaz Birthstone is sold in Epic Wonders, as always, for 1500 gems.

Today, I also found our new Epic Steampunk Contraption, also sold in Epic Wonders, but for 1000 gems.

And lastly, we have our old returning Turkey Hat, sold in Jam Mart clothing, for 250 gems
