Hey jammers! I hope you don't mind the flood of posts coming from us here at the Animal Jam Spirit. There are just so many interesting things going on in Jamaa right now. ^-^ We'll try to keep our output at two posts a day at most. In other news, we have Rare Item Monday!
A Rare Gem Encrusted Necklace, wooh, that's a mouthful! And a mighty price tag to go with it. If you like, I have a feeling some commentors with interesting comments and discussions may get one in the mail today... It's just one of those nagging feelings...
But in other news, guess WHO is on the way??
We all kinda knew that already, but you gotta admit, it's pretty darn exciting. ^-^ I've fed, cleaned up after, and even held wild owls while working at my local wildlife shelter. They're adorable and fluffy, but you always have to remember they are wild, and that's most often where they belong. And now you're going to forget everything I said...

They're naturally curious, and those eyes... I could think of a lovely, fitting name for a rather owlish jammer, couldn't you?
Why yes, my thoughts exactly wootmoo, thank you for sending this interesting picture in. I can't say I've seen too many usernames around Jamaa with such lovely punctuation. I wish thee an owl, stranger.
Since this post was rather owlish in nature, that is what I'm hoping to ask about on this mysterious Monday. Do you have a favorite species of owls (there are 216, you know)? Which species do you think would be able to represent them all with the title of alpha?

:D AJHQ got all the little details right! They even got the furry leathery legs that help protect owl's legs from prey biting their legs to hurt them to escape from the owl's grip. Owls are such interesting animals :)

The owls are unique animals and a suprizing appearance since they are so quiet. Owls can also be quite a scare, because of their silent flapping wings :3

It was a stormy night, (I'm gonna use Talon c:) An Owl figure was flying as fast as an owl could go. A Small Fox girl named Sky was staring up at the Figure, she never saw anything like it! When lightning crackled in the sky, a quick flash of light showed the Figure's Patterns and markings. Sky looked in awe, only Alphas had those patterns! *Could it be...? No, it can't!* Thought Sky. She looked at the sky again, and the figure was gone. She sniffed the air, and got the Figures Scent. "I think it went... That way!" She said to herself with a adventurous look in her eyes.
Sky started her journey to find the owl, the sniffed the air once is a while to refresh the scent in here mind. The scent grew stronger, and she found them. They were hurt! The figure was on the ground, she came closer to find out they had broken there wing. As she examined the body, she saw it's talons. They were sharper then anything she had ever seen, she couldn't stop staring. She shook her head and picked the body up. She headed to her burrow where she lived alone.
The Figure opened one eye, they arose from the bed they were laying on. "Wow, what are you doing up?" Sky asked them. "What do you me-OUCH!!" They cried. "Hey um, I'm Sky... Who are you, and um... What are you..?" Sky asked. "I'm Talon, I'm an owl. Your acting like you never seen an Owl Before." Talon chuckled. "I haven't, until now at least." Sky Explained. "Hey, are you an Alpha?" Asked Sky. "Why would you figure such a thing!?" Screeched Talon. "Sorry to ask, it's just your patterns.." Sighed Sky.
Talon told sky that he was the Owl Alpha, and told of his many journeys with the rest of the Alphas. Sky nurtured Talon until his wing was healed. When Talon was about to leave, he gave sky a charm. He said to rub it if She ever needed him. Then he flew away and left one feather. She picked it up and clutched the charm in her paw, she knew she was destined for something... But what?

ReplyDeleteI sent Animal Jam an email a while ago asking for an owl and a sugarglider. I told them that since there are pet ones, there might as well be real ones. It looks like they took the owl into consideration. (or maybe just enough people wanted it)

ReplyDeleteIt was a bitter, snowy night. The wind was whipping everyone's faces. All the animals were inside. Well, that is except for the most courageous animal in Jamaa, Sir Gilbert.
Gilbert was out on a hike to the tallest of mountains,Mount Shiveer. He was calmly padding along the pathway when an unusual stench filled the air. That was very odd for Sir Gilbert. No animal in Jamaa lived there without getting past him. That was then a white blur swooped down in front of him. It was an owl! Gilbert couldn't believe his luck. He approached tentatively and asked it some questions...
And from that moment on, there was and always will be owls in Jamaa!

My Monday Mystery story:
ReplyDeleteIt was a dark, stormy night and a little owl (that's the species) came blustering into Liza's pebble house and she took it in, and found the cousin of the eagle alpha, bread them and finally the species evolved more and you know, adapted and came more into Jamaa and populated which is what actually happens so it's most likely.

ReplyDeleteI have 40000 gems however I didn't bother getting it because I don't see the beauty and I only bother buying items I actually like even if they're just Necklaces, rather than waste gems on items just because they're rare when everyone thinks this, buys them and that means nobody will ever want to trade them in future.

My Monday Mystery:
ReplyDeleteThis all happened after polar bears came back. A group of young animals were playing a game of soccer in their parents front yard (it's near the forest). A young otter later accidentally kicks the ball into the forest. "Look what you! That soccer ball cost a lot of gems! My parents are going to kill me know!" said a young wolf. "Ok look I'll get it" replied the otter.
The wolf just nodded; the otter went to the forest when she almost tripped on a branch "stupid branches" she mumbled. She never liked the forest, she was used to the nice friendly, calm waves of the ocean, she knew she had to suck it up and get the soccer ball. Right when she found the ball she heard a strange sound; "weird..." she said. She grabbed the ball and searched for the weird noise.
There she found a young, weak looking bird thing :it looks like an eagle, but it's not...: she thought
"Hey! What are you and what do you want!?" She asked. The bird just replied with "I'm an owl AND PLEASE DONT KILL ME!".
"I'm not going to kill you.."
"Oh.. I'm just haven't seen an otter in long time"
"How do you know what species I am?" She asked. "Well my parents told me when we were trapped in that crystal" the owl pointed her injured wing weakly at a crystal on a rock.
"I know what those are! But how did you get out?"
"I don't really know how, but I think it was a sign"
"Hey why don't I show you to my friends and parents!"
"Sure but I think I should bring the crystal to the alphas" replied the owl. "Sure. My parents kinda know the otter alpha and we could help you get better!" Exclaim the otter. "Ok," the owl smiled "hey um, what's your name?"
"Oh right I'm River and you are?
"I'm Nutmeg"

ReplyDeleteMy Monday Mystery Answer (Warning: Very, very long):
ReplyDeleteLiza jumped with joy. She couldn't believe it! She couldn't, she just couldn't! Finally, after almost months of searching, the Alphas had discovered a brand new land to add to Jamaa!
"I... I think I can see the tip of it!" exclaimed Graham, the monkey alpha. He was perched at the tip of the crow's nest of their little expedition ship. "I... I can see the tip of a mountain, appearing from the fog! Oh boy, oh boy, I can't wait to see the new land!"
Sure enough, Graham was right. Liza stood up and craned her head, searching for the island. She couldn't see anything but mist and fog, until their ship began to near the island. She could see the peak of a mountain jutting up from the ground, piercing the clouds. Liza lifted her camera and took a picture. Greely padded up next to her.
"The new land..." he said, pausing for a moment. "What new animal do you predict we will find here?" he said, carefully. His dark eyes darted around, scanning the scene.
"I'm not sure." replied Liza. Maybe a snake, or a turtle. The new land looks like a swamp, or a jungle."
"I agree with you." Greely hissed. "A swamp would be a very interesting new land to discover. I do hope it is a swamp."
Liza was about to nod her head, when suddenly, a brownish-white streak zoomed into view, before disappearing as quickly as it came.
"What was THAT?!" Peck yelled, surprising everyone on the ship. She jumped onto the deck. Her eyes scanned the sky. "Was that a new animal?"
"Possibly." Liza said. She lifted her camera up again, ready to capture a picture of the new animal, if there was one. The streak came by again. Peck gasped in awe. It moved so fast! Greely, however, was not stunned by this dazzling effect. He merely grunted in acknowledgement.
"Got it!" shouted Liza. She toyed with her camera for a second, before flipping it back around. There, on the screen of the camera, was a picture of an owl, no more than a few inches long.
"Do you think it's the new animal?" Liza asked.
"Definitely." replied Peck. "Where there's one owl, there's gotta be more. We might even be able to see a whole bunch of them on the island!" She lifted her trusty paintbrush, which she carried around all the time.
" And, I'll get to draw the owl too! It's so graceful!" Peck twirled her paintbrush. "I will be downstairs, painting if you need me." She hopped off, leaving Liza and Greely alone.
"Who do you think the owl alpha is?" Greely wondered aloud.
"I don't know Greely, but one thing's for sure." Liza replied. "They'll have a legacy to carry on, just like us..."

It's very, very good. Work on your capitalization though, Since Sky is the fox's name, it always needs a capital. Only proper nouns (Names, of people and places, months, days of the week) need capitals. Otherwise, I really like it!
