Hey jammers! As you may remember, Akachip posted just a little bit ago about the newest Animal Jam development: a mobile version!! Click here to sign up for the Android / Google Play beta testing period.
Snappy Dresser has sent in some images of the game, and I thought it may be interesting to see – especially for those of us with no Android devices to try it all out on. Check below the break for a sneak peek!
The loading page! This will probably develop into something similar to Animal Jam (arty scenes behind it, or a spinning world?).
Speaking of worlds, much like Animal Jam's original beta, thereare limited worlds available to visit (Coral Canyons was added later, but the rest are of the original four). What do you think of the map?
There are only a few animals to choose from at the moment, including the bunny, the monkey, and the wolf. That's even fewer than 2010 beta! It looks like AJHQ is really outdoing itself with the graphics though. The 3-Dimensional animation is absolutely fantastic!
While remarkable similar to the online game, this mobile version appears to be in a universe parallel to Jamaa. With the "Play Wild" version you make a new account, get new items, and start over!
The pupil / eye selection is rather similar to Animal Jam's "Jump" app (the mimic of doodle jump they released a while back). Perhaps, like in that game, there will be a way to integrate your mobile and your original accounts. Or maybe it'll be entirely separate, like Tunnel Town!
Speaking of Tunnel Town, the stores are quite reminiscent of it in layout. As you saw in the last post, some items have been coming to this beta game before they even come to Jamaa. And others... Well, they go by different names and colors than we may know them by. Need an example? Just check out that "Stove Pipe Hat" up there...
However, many of our favorite games appear in the mobile version!
And in the end this world is so similar to our own I have no doubt the many jammers who are visiting right now feel perfectly at home.
Homes appear to be much like the Small Den available to all jammers here in Jamaa. At the moment there are no members or nonmember within the game (do you think there will ever be, if it's a paid app?).
Jamaa Township looks so different, and yet similar... I guess from AJ's graphics I've always pictured it to be on a hill, sloped-like. ^-^
Sarepia Forest looks absolutely lovely, beautiful lighting. I wonder of the spirit of Mira, the Sky Mother, still emerges from the fire.
From the barred entrance in the Temple, it just shows how adventures haven't yet come to the game. Do you think they will eventually?
Captain Melville has yet to open his juice hut, but I'm still pretty excited to see what plushies look like within the game.
However the game turns out, I'm sure it'll be exciting. If only for the new views of our little jamaasian world. Good work AJHQ, keep it up! And wonderful pictures Snappy Dresser, can't wait to see more.
