Did you know joeys are baby kangaroos? That would be obvious to guess if you play AJ Jump. Kangaroos often live in rocky places, or by the sea, grasslands, the outback or in forests. Now, kangaroos have a very funny story:
When European explorers first saw these strange hopping animals they asked a native Australian (aborigine) what they were called. He replied "kangaroo" meaning "I don't understand", and the explorers thought that was actually the animals name.
A male kangaroo is called a buck or boomer or an old man. A female kangaroo is called a flyer or doe. The newborn kangaroo crawls into the mother's puch to develop completely and the joey comes out after 5-9 months.

ReplyDeleteThis was a cool post Isa! I particularly enjoyed the Trivia Tuesday! The kangaroo song was cool but I didn't understand the measurements. In Australia, we use kilometres and metres instead of feet and miles XD can someone translate please? And I know wikipedia says otherwise Isa, but actually 'boomer' and 'old man' are just common slang. :P Fun fact lol. We sometimes get kangaroos in my garden and i can't go outside because man are they HUGE. At my old school 2 kangas got into a fight on the oval. My teacher let us watch from the windows XD.

ReplyDeleteI have an opinion to be shared , Animal jam of today is nothing compared to the Animal jam of the past. I must say , I actually joined Animal jam in 2011 , but rejoined in 2012. From my experience the old Animal jam was better than the new one. You could properly claim that you were scammed without saying ''scaled'' or ''scanned'' and Monthly member gifts were just so splendid , you could get excited and say ''Oh I got a different type of Monthly member gift from AJHQ , can't wait to see what my buddies have got!'' .Animal jam of the past was much better in my opinion. Please do not get offended by my comment.''

I agree. All the new updates are fabutastic but I really miss the Monthly Member gifts. Also, AJ is a place i like to go to, to escape the problems of the real world but with all the scamming, hacking and drama, its not always the best. I still love AJ, I just wish their wasn't so many scammers and hackers and stuff ^.^
