Heart Eye a Patch

Hey jammers! The new giveaway is in the works: prizes have been distributed and given to the players already, I'm just having editing problems with my silly old computer. So keep an eye out for that little vid, coming to a YouTube near you.  ^.^ And I apologize for the late post – the silly old computer is acting its age and failing on me.

Today's new returning item is the Heart Eye Patch, sold out in the Bahari Bargains shop.
Are you glad to see it return? Or did you not notice its absence? Over on the Daily Explorer we have some fun new posts!

And finally, a big question to ask at you guys!

AJS has been going for a few years now, and has looked relatively the same for that amount of time. I've just started a digital designing class, which will hopefully be helpful in the little changes I can make. I know our community is been smaller than it was over the summer, but if you like, I'll keep blogging. I love the format of Eqiestria Daily's approach on blog design, so check it out and let me know. Having multiple posts a day (from news to music vids to artwork), more authors, and that sort of thing?

    1. Seriously, what's the point of commenting just to say what position it is? It's... ironic!

      Delete
    2. It's ironic that you kept replying the same thing to all of those comments if you don't like them. You were just spamming your "website" which I will now never visit.

    3. That's not very nice, anonymous.
Nebula Night just wanted to congratulate them. There's nothing wrong with that! Nebula's not one of those grumpy people that go: "Oh I think that's spam! I'm mad at you so I won't congratulate you!"
No. Nebula's one of those kind people that say: "I think that might be spam, but you seem happy about it, so I'll congratulate you!"
Don't jump to conclusions. You could really hurt someone's feelings!

    8. Ohh and you were being a jerk too if not even a bigger one. What wrong about posting your comment number, I have seen you do it too.

    9. That was only one time. And if I am eleven, so what? Just because I'm younger doesn't mean I'm naive and helpless. Why are you still replying? Why did you reply in the first place? Also, I never said there was anything wrong with posting comment numbers. Just now that I think about it, what's the point of it? I'm sorry for calling you a jerk. Your comment upset me and I tried to be aggressive because of it. Look, the only reason I was asking is because I didn't understand.

Once again, I'm sorry. Just... please stop being so mean...

    5. I kind of agree with SCharizard. I look at the blog once every morning to see the new stuff and then maybe come back once and awhile to see if anyone replied to my comments. I mean, I wouldn't mind if you DID do that, I'd still read the blog and all, but I think I like the way we're going better.
Again, it's not like I'd totally "HATE THIS STUPID BLOG BECAUSE THEY CHANGED IT OMG". Perhaps it would be a good idea because then you could get more stuff into the blog instead of doing one post.
Sorry for the long-winded comment, I'm just kind of like that ;)

  13. I think you're going in the right direction, Snowyclaw. But, I would not be surprised if your blog did go a little down-hill if you stop posting, and leave it to the authors. Well, you know how alot of small businesses have a story behind them, and are normally "family owned". If you do alot of posting yourself, and at most, 3 days of the week, your authors post, (or, if you don't post before say, 4o'clock AM AJS time, one of your authors will post for you.) Maybe you will get more views, followers, etc. if your mostly an "independently owned business". If your blog gets TOO big, that's another story. You can't let it get too big, or it could get a little, (or alot!), out of hand. You know, all chain restaurants, clothing stores, toy stores, etc. all where independently owned at one point.

    ReplyDelete

    1. PART 2
Well, for example, Toys 'R Us, was once independently owned, in 1948. That was a long time ago, yes, but now it's getting so big, it's just not the same. Now it's just all about money, money, money, trying not to get bankrupt, selling alot of stuff, keeping people coming and putting up more and more stores. But, Toys 'R Us, used to be just a fun little business, when it first was founded by Charles Lazarus, (Toys 'R Us used to be called "Childrens Supermart).
Here is something I found online about Toys 'R Us:
      Company history[edit]

Original Children's Supermart location in Washington, DC is now a bar.

Original Children's Supermart location is now Madam's Organ Blues Bar on 18th Street NW in Adams Morgan in Washington, D.C.
Charles Lazarus started Children's Supermart (which would evolve into Toys "R" Us) in Washington, D.C., during the post-war baby boom era in 1948 as a baby-furniture retailer. Its first location was at 2461 18th St. NW, where the nightclub Madam's Organ Blues Bar is located. Lazarus began receiving requests from customers for baby toys. After adding baby toys, he got requests for toys for older children. The focus of the store changed in 1957, and Toys "R" Us was born in Rockville, Maryland. Toys "R" Us was acquired in 1966 by Interstate Department Stores, owner of the White Front, Topps and Children's Bargain Town USA, a sister toy-store chain to Toys "R" Us in the American Midwest that would later be re-branded as part of the Toys "R" Us chain. The original Toys Я Us store design from 1969 to 1989 consisted of vertical rainbow stripes and a brown roof with a front entrance and side exit.[3] Some brown-roof locations still exist, although some have been painted different colors or renovated.
Outside of large, brightly lit store at night in New York City, surrounded by advertisements

Flagship store in Times Square, Manhattan
To improve the company, the board of directors installed John Eyler (formerly of FAO Schwarz). Eyler launched an unsuccessful, expensive plan to remodel and re-launch the chain. Blaming market pressures (primarily competition from Wal-Mart and Target), Toys "R" Us considered splitting its toy and baby businesses. On July 21, 2005, a consortium of Bain Capital Partners LLC, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) and Vornado Realty Trust invested $1.3 billion to complete a $6.6 billion leveraged buyout of the company. Public stock closed for the last time at $26.74—pennies from the 68-week high, but far short of its all-time high of almost $45 in fourth-quarter 1993 and its five-year high of $31 in Q2 2001. Toys "R" Us is now a privately owned entity. However, the company still files with the Securities and Exchange Commission (as required by its debt agreements).[4]
On September 24, 2012, tablet maker Fuhu (partly owned by computer manufacturer Acer Inc.) sued Toys "R" Us, alleging that Toys "R" Us's Tabeo tablet copied their Nabi tablet computer and stole trade secrets.[5][6]
In fall 2012, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Hells Angels sued Toys "R" Us for Trademark Infringement, Unfair Competition and Dilution in relation to the sale of yo-yos manufactured by Yomega Corporation, a co-defendant, which allegedly bears the “Death Head” logo. In its complaint,[7] Hells Angels asserted that the mark used on the yo-yos is likely to confuse the public into mistakenly believing that the toys originate with Hells Angels and Yomega filed counterclaims against Hells Angels for cancellation of the “Death Head” registrations on grounds of alleged fraud in the procurement of the registrations.[8] The case was settled and the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice.
I may have gone a bit too far on all this, but I don't want Animal Jam Spirit to turn into a multie-million (if that's how you spell it) dollar corporation.

    7. Very good point Arthop. If Snowyclaw stopped blogging and left it to other people I would stop reading this blog. No offence to any other writers, I enjoy the variety that has been given with the other writers. But, Snowy, I found this blog because I searched online for "Snowyclaw". To me this has always been "Snowyclaw's blog" and I don't want you completely leaving. I do own a small business and I realize that employing a bunch of other people to knit scarves for me would be great, but I would have less control over quality etc. My point is, don't leave Snowy.
