Memberships are a fun feature to have on Animal Jam! There are lots of game features that are available to members that aren't available to nonmembers. That's why everyone wants one, right?
Memberships cost real life money because Animal Jam is a business – it needs money to continue producing and hosting content. So they don't allow any way for membership to be given to an account for free. AJHQ prevents any possibility of jammers "hacking" to achieve membership. So that means someone else has to buy it. That's why you're here, right? You'd like someone else to purchase one for you!
As you probably already know, it's important to keep you account safe. No matter what jammers post about free memberships, you should never give your password to someone else to "apply the membership." It is far more likely that they will simply take what your account contains than give you a membership. So how do you get a free membership!
Why, you enter to get a free membership or diamond code from a generator, right? Or a giveaway for a free membership or diamond code bought by a jammer who wants to donate their money to others. The problem is this is exactly like giving someone your password.
Ruh roh...
When someone pays for a membership, they own that membership! When that membership is applied to an account, the person that bought the membership now owns the account. You may argue that the jammer who created the account owns the account, but then how would parents change their parent account email? You need a membership to prove your ownership of an account.
So if you used a membership bought by someone else...
They own your account.
That doesn't mean they will do anything bad with it! Lots of very nice people give membership codes away. But just as many not-so-well-meaning people give them away as well. Do you know of well known jammers who have had their accounts "removed from their parent account" or "stolen" from them? That's because they accepted a membership from another player.
Sadly, without AJHQ's permission and assistance, I won't be able to provide free membership and diamond code giveaways. I will be sure to ask them, but for now there is no way to get a free membership from Animal Jam unless someone physically gives you an Animal Jam membership card that does not have its code revealed.
