Ciao, jammers! Bonsaii here with some important updates about the AJS writing contest! 

First off, the offical deadline has been extended from October 15th to October 25th! This gives you 10 more days to edit and revise your writing! Feel free to submit an edited copy, but remember, you can only submit two stories!

We here at AJS will vote on the best stories, and the winners will be posted on November 1st! 

Most importantly, the potluck prize pool has opened! Send your own prizes for the contest to the account shepa1 (my account on AJ). Every gift will go directly into the contest's prize pool. The prizes can be small, big, or anything in between!

Last, but certainly not least, it has been confirmed that 3rd place will recieve a reward! Honorable Mentions will be chosen and posted on the AJS blog.

Spooky Pops, Horns, and Phantom Cannon

Hey jammers! Today's new items for the Night of the Phantoms festival are the Spooky Pops (for all jammers) in Jam Mart Furniture, perfect for Halloween parties, in Jamaa's beautiful oceans we have the returning Horns in Bahari Bargains.

In Sunken Treasures, we have the classic returning Phantom Cannon.

You may remember yesterday Animal Jam was offline throughout the day, some jammers could log in while others were unable to. This was because AJHQ is rebuilding their database! If you receive the 'username doesn't exist' message when you log in, please contact AJHQ with your username on the Daily Explorer ~ they're here to help!

Why is Animal Jam Offline?

Hey jammers! Today's new items for the Night of the Phantoms festival are the returning classic Scary Mask and new Spooky Eyes in Jam Mart Clothing.

 In Sunken Treasures, the Scary Barrel Sponge has returned.

And in Epic Wonders we have a new item the Tarantula Throne and the classic returning Skeleton Suit. 

You may have noticed Animal Jam has been offline throughout today and yesterday, some jammers can login and others can't. Despite all the silly rumors, no crime has been committed, Animal Jam has been down for bug fixes or routine sever check ups. It's best to ignore the rumors out there, it only makes the issue worse than it is.

AJHQ has updated the lynx minibook in the Chamber of Knowledge, complete the quiz on pages 11-12 to earn a Lynx Trophy! You'll have to read the minibook to answer the questions, of course, hehe.
