Spirit Artwork #22

Spring is coming. Indications of the coming season are everywhere. The warmer, longer days. The absence of snow. The vines coiling about the Mira statue in the Township, topped with little yellow flowers. In fact, the whole statue seems to have changed color, its material changing from an icy consistency to some sort of blue-green stone. Gazing at the statue, you ponder why you hadn't noticed that the statue changes to acknowledge the seasons earlier. Was it alive? A life form in some sort of suspended animation or hypersleep or something? You walk around the statue, examining its details. At its feet, you notice some crumpled papers, hidden among the vines.

An interesting piece sent in by Sureenadragon! This artist chose to portray items alone, rather than an animal wearing them. An interesting subject matter. I love how they have taken on trying to draw some of the items, such as the bow, arrow, and spike, from different angles than provided ingame.

A cute piece of artwork by Fezcat! The greenish-grey of the character stands out well against the turquoise background. The composition of the piece, having the cat to the side, rather than the middle, keeps the piece interesting to view.

A whimsical piece sent in by ShinyMewGal! The details may be difficult to see, so be sure to click on this one to make sure you view this artwork in its full splendor. The low contrast helps add to the atmosphere of the piece, and the various colors in the sky make it fun to view.

An adorable piece by Muffinjelly! This accurate portrayal of the wolf Alpha, Greely, also makes use of perspective, to make it appear as though he is drawing nearer as he continues to walk down the path.

Amazing artwork by Veronica, also known as crazycoolcats! This fanart of Snowyclaw includes a beautiful background featuring some distant hills and a rocky ledge. Snowy's glowing eye matches the moon- and starlit sky. The darker colors chosen in the piece help add to the dimly-lit atmosphere, the feeling of night.

If you'd like to see some of my own artwork, check out my deviantART or my Youtube. If you'd like your art to be featured, please send it to spiritjammer@gmail.com!

You may have noticed that the introductory image no longer features the Gentlebug, my otter. I've lost my membership... I've been thinking to hold an art contest to draw the ladybug-otter in various places in Jamaa. I would feature each piece in these intros. My top favorites would receive a decent rare.

What do you think? c:
