September 11

Hey jammers. Today is the day to remember September 11. Most of us weren't born, or were too young to remember it, but it happened all the same. Please ask your parents and relatives what they felt, and give a moment of silent thought to the people who died that day. This is the tenth anniversary.
Never forget that day, but remember, we can't always live in the past. We must look toward the future, for a world that is a better place to live in.

  1. I was nearly six when this happened. I still remember I woke one night and I heard an explosion. We don't live anywhere near NY, but my parents were watching the news. Ever since, not one of my classes have failed to remind us of that day.

  3. Snowyclaw,
I read your post to my mom, and she said what you wrote was beautiful. I couldn't agree more. I was young when it happened, but I remember I was sitting on the couch with my mother, watching it on the television, scared to death for our family in New York. Unfortunetly they did not survive. But they were sadly murdered by the debris in The Marriott. But I will never, ever, forget that one day, that one day, of tragicness.

Thank you for reading this message.

  5. We talked about this in Art. It was really sad, even if it's not the class you'd think we'd be talking about it in. My teacher showed us the memorial they had made for the people who had died. It was really beautiful. It had fountains where the towers had stood. It was also very lush. I really want to see it, but it will be a while because it isn't opened yet, and it will be very popular. It's opened tomorrow...
And then she asked us to design a memorial. I could probably share a remake of it on Spirit Work...I'm already working on a little tribute for them:)

  6. I asked my mom what happened that day, she said she was feeding me and my sister (we weren't old we were babies) and my aunt called my mom, and said that the twin towers crashed down. She thought that the plane crashed into it by accident. Mom turned on the tv, and suddenly saw the crash. My aunt was still on the phone, and she said, that was no accident. We were lucky not to have any relatives there, but I had moment of silence for respect. On the plane that was supposedly going to the White House there were people who are heroes that kept the plane away from the whitehouse. Think in respect for the 3000 people that died that day, including the firemen and policemen who sacrificed their lives to save 2000 people in the towers. Many of them couldn't get out. Thank you for posting this so we can all have a moment of silence. - devyn786

  7. I know...I first heard about it in 3rd grade. So many people died that day, and I don't remember a thing about it...(though I was about 1 or 2..:)
It's so sad, and every year we revisit it and learn about more stories...they make you appreciate life in itself.
I get really irked by people that treat it like 9/11 was one big show of American pride, I dunno why..

I read every one of your comments. They are beautiful and caring, I am so lucky to have such dedicated fans and readers who are thoughtful about the world around them. Thank you for making this world a better place! It's a little thing we always forget; one moment of thought and kindness can change the world. One person at a time.

  13. If everyone cared and nobody cried.
If everyone loved and nobody lied.
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride.
Then we'd see the day when nobody died!

  17. Hey I forgot to post but- there was this guy. His plane with the terrorists were going to crash into the white house. So he rallies up (he was a Christian) some dudes and they jump the terrorists. All the pilots have been killed so he steps out and says," Let's roll!" (He used to say it with his kids) and he tells everyone about Jesus. And everyone gets saved. He goes back into the pilot thing and . . . he sees the white house. they're flying right towards it. so- i'm crying right now. so he swerves the plane and crashes it in a field. There were no survivors. The wife found a message. It was her husband's voice saying," Honey I can't come home." He had two young boys at home- waiting for their daddy to come home- he doesn't. But everyone on the plane got saved! Now snowyclaw and fans, You may despise Christians, You may think they're dorks. And if that is the case- Then I am PROUD to be called a Christian dork! Christ suffered, and if we are his sheep- then we are glad to suffer like our savior did. I hope this moves you. Please non-believers- there is a God, an Awesome God, who wants you to be with him! Please- you will get many wonders. Snowy if you aren't a Christian and forever ban me then- you're just as good as the rest of them (horrible)

Pac10 who is proud to be a Christian dork!

Our world is going to get worse before it gets better. Black rhinos are EXTINCT! I talked about it with my mom and i told her about the rhinos and she said," Honey- Jesus' comin' back for us soon." HALLELUJAH!

  26. I just came across this post today yet when this happen I was 1 and I STILL to this day remember my parents rushing to the TV and the TV showing the Twin Towers falling. I remember that picture perfectly clear. Those were VERY sad days. We should always remember those who came before us as "Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it."
